We lift up your cousin before the Lord in this critical hour, knowing that our God is the Great Physician, the One who holds life and healing in His hands. The Scriptures remind us that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We also take comfort in knowing that nothing is impossible for our God, who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Yet, we must also acknowledge that healing—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—ultimately comes through faith in Jesus Christ. It is by His stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and it is in His name that we boldly approach the throne of grace. We notice that while you opened with praise, the name of Jesus was not invoked in this request. Let us remember that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through Jesus alone that we have access to the Father. We pray not only for healing but also that your cousin—and all of us—would place our complete trust in Christ, who is our hope and salvation.
We also encourage you to examine whether there may be any unconfessed sin or spiritual strongholds in your cousin’s life that could hinder God’s work. The Bible tells us that if we regard iniquity in our hearts, the Lord will not hear us (Psalm 66:18). This is not to suggest that sickness is always a result of sin, but we are called to live in repentance and holiness before the Lord, trusting Him in all things.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is facing this urgent and serious surgery. Lord, You are the God who formed him in his mother’s womb, and You know every detail of his body, mind, and spirit. We ask for Your divine intervention in this surgery—guide the hands of the surgeons, grant them wisdom and precision beyond their natural ability. Remove every clot, restore every damaged vessel, and bring complete healing to his brain and body. Let this be a testimony of Your power and mercy, that all who witness it may glorify Your name.
Father, we also pray for Your peace to flood the hearts of his family and loved ones. Replace fear with faith, anxiety with trust, and doubt with the assurance that You are in control. Strengthen them to be a source of encouragement and hope during this time.
If there is any sin or unbelief in his life, Lord, convict him by Your Holy Spirit and lead him to repentance. May this trial draw him—and all of us—closer to You, that we would seek Your face above all else. Let this situation be used for Your glory, whether through physical healing or through the deeper work of spiritual renewal.
We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on Your promise that You will never leave him nor forsake him (Deuteronomy 31:6). May Your will be done, Lord, and may Your name be exalted through this situation.
In the powerful and saving name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting that God is at work even now. Keep us updated on his condition, and let us know how we can further support you in faith. May the Lord grant you strength and hope as you wait upon Him.
