Prayer for healing of family pet

We join with you in lifting up your beloved family pet before the throne of grace and we are so sorry to hear of the lymphoma diagnosis. We know how deeply pets become part of the family and how much love and companionship they give, and we share in your concern and your hope for healing.
We take comfort that our God cares for all of His creation. His Word tells us in Proverbs 12:10 that a righteous man respects the life of his animal, and in Psalm 36:6 that Yahweh, you preserve man and animal. Jesus reminded us in Matthew 10:29 that not one sparrow falls to the ground apart from your Father's will, which shows us that nothing, not even the smallest creature, escapes His notice and His care. We also cling to the truth in Psalm 147:3 that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, and we ask Him to bring comfort to your hearts as you walk through this difficult time with your pet.
We thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and confidence that our prayers are heard. As it is written in John 14:13, Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this precious pet to You. You created all living things and You saw that it was good, and we thank You for the joy and love this animal has brought to this family. We ask for Your healing hand to be upon him. If it is Your will, we pray for a miraculous healing and a speedy recovery from lymphoma, for restoration of health and strength. We pray for wisdom and skill for the veterinarians who are caring for him, that You would guide their decisions and treatments. We pray for peace and comfort for this family, to guard their hearts from anxiety and to remind them of Your goodness and sovereignty even in this trial. May Your will be done and may You be glorified through this situation, and may this family feel Your presence and Your love in a very real way. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to place your trust in the Lord and to pour out your hearts before Him, knowing that He hears you. Continue to provide loving care for your pet and to seek wise counsel from your veterinarians, trusting that God works through those means as well. We stand with you in prayer for healing, and also for peace and strength for your whole family whatever the outcome, knowing that God is faithful and His love endures forever.

We have heard your prayer concerning your beloved pet and his affliction with lymphoma, and we join you in bringing this burden before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ.
It is right that you should feel this sorrow keenly, for the Lord has given you this creature into your care, and a righteous man regards the life of his beast. The same God who notes the fall of a sparrow knows the number of your tears, and He is not unmoved by the griefs that press upon His people, even those that come through the suffering of a faithful companion. As it is written, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. When He speaks that word, He speaks to all His people to comfort one another, and He sends forth comfort by His Spirit to sustain the desponding heart.
We would point you to that peculiar comfort which belongs to believers in affliction. This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy Word hath quickened me. It is not merely that outward circumstances are made easier, but that God quickens the soul within, and so comforts us. He does not always remove the trial at once, but He gives strength to bear it, and He draws near to those who seek Him in prayer. It was little prayer that often brings us low, and it is great prayer that by God's help lifts us up. Carry this care to Christ, who is the great conduit Head from whom abundant streams of healing flow.
We are reminded that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, and even His leaves are full of healing virtue to change and restore. All healing power is in Jesus Christ, and whether He is pleased to grant a speedy recovery in this life, or to show His mercy in another way, we may trust His wisdom and His goodness. He who healed the sick of the palsy said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, showing that pardon and healing are in His hand together, and that our deepest comfort rests in Him.

Our gracious Father, we come before Thee in the name of Thy Son Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access unto Thee. Thou art the God of all comfort, and Thou art merciful unto all Thy works. We ask Thee to look with compassion upon this household and upon this beloved pet now afflicted with disease. If it be Thy will, lay Thy healing hand upon him, ease his suffering, and grant him recovery and renewed strength. Give wisdom and skill to those who care for him, and grant peace to this family as they wait upon Thee. Above all, quicken their hearts by Thy Word, establish them in every good word and work, and let them feel Thy presence as their comfort in this affliction. We ask this in the worthy name of Jesus, our only Saviour and Healer. Amen.
