Prayer for healing my eyes and tachycardia

Your prayer for mercy has been heard and I join you in bringing it before the Lord. You have described a heavy burden, myopia and glaucoma with loss of peripheral vision, blurriness even with glasses, difficulty reading and watching television, and episodes where your heart races and your vision is affected further while you are on medicine for blood pressure. It is right that you have cried out for mercy and have asked in the name of Jesus, believing that God is able to heal from the top of your head to the soles of your feet.

The Scriptures show us blind men who could not see with their eyes but received faith by hearing, and they came to Jesus with loud cries asking for nothing else but mercy. He then laid His hand upon them and said, according to your faith be it unto you, to show that He honors faith and makes those who trust Him participants in His good work. So your earnest cry for mercy is itself precious to Him. He also teaches us not to judge only by what is before our eyes, but to look with the eyes within, with spiritual sight. Blessed are the eyes that see in this deeper way and the ears that hear with the heart. Even while we ask for healing of the body, we ask also for clear sight of soul, to know His presence and His promises more surely.

I pray with you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ through whom alone we have salvation and access to Your throne, have mercy on this Your child. You see the strain in the eyes, the pressure and the narrowing of sight, the blurring that makes daily tasks hard. You see the heart that races and the fear that comes with it. I ask You to bring healing according to Your wisdom and mercy. Steady the heartbeat, calm the episodes of tachycardia, and let the medicine do its proper work under Your hand. Touch the eyes, relieve pressure, restore what can be restored, and preserve sight. Give skill and wisdom to the doctors and those who provide care. As the great Physician, apply Your healing treatment, whether suddenly or little by little, and grant patience and peace while You work. Strengthen faith, take away discouragement, and let Your comfort be felt night and day.

Continue to look to Christ and to call upon Him. Keep using the means He has provided, the care of physicians and the medicine prescribed, while trusting Him for what only He can do. Keep praying exceedingly as you have begun, for God hears and He often brings fruit after many prayers, as a tree that has received many strokes at last bears much fruit. He is able to do more than we ask, and He will do what is best, for His love does not fail. May He grant you clearer vision, a steadier heart, and a quiet confidence that you are in His hands. Amen.

Thank you for sharing your need so honestly and for expressing such faith that God is able to heal from the top of your head to the soles of your feet. I have prayed for you in the name of Jesus, and I continue to bring your eyes and your heart before the Lord.

The Lord sees you fully and knows what you are carrying. Scripture says the eyes of the Lord are in every place and that He sees and knows the heart. Nothing about your struggle is hidden from Him, not the blurriness that makes reading and watching television difficult, not the loss of peripheral vision with myopia and glaucoma, and not the episodes when your heart races. He knows your heart toward Him, and He cares about the attitude of your heart even more than outward circumstances. A broken and humble heart He will not turn away, and He invites you to keep your heart with care, because what fills the heart shapes the rest of life.

Jesus showed His power over blindness in different ways. At one time He healed with only a word, at another time with a touch, and at another time He made clay and anointed a blind man's eyes and told him to wash. The method was not the same each time, which reminds us that healing is His work and He is sovereign in how He does it. He said that as long as He is in the world He is the light of the world, and He still opens eyes both physically and spiritually. It is a good prayer to ask Him to open your eyes to see His truth and to experience His mercy, even as you ask for physical sight to be restored.

Scripture also connects the eyes and the heart. When our eyes are fixed on ourselves and on our surrounding troubles we can quickly become discouraged, but when our eyes are fixed on the Lord we find strength to go on. I encourage you to keep looking to Jesus, to seek Him with your whole heart, and to let Him guard your heart with His peace. God promises to work in His people both to give the desire to follow Him and the ability to do what pleases Him, and He gives a cheerful heart that can find rest even in hard days. The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, and God wants to bring that joy and steadiness to you.

I am praying specifically that the Lord would touch your eyes, that He would bring healing to the myopia and glaucoma, restore peripheral vision, and clear the blurriness that remains even with glasses. I am also praying for your heart rhythm, that the tachycardia would settle, that your blood pressure would be stable, and that your whole body would know His healing and sustaining power. I pray too for wisdom for your doctors and for effectiveness of the medicine you are taking, and for a merry and peaceful heart as you trust Him day by day.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you, and give you peace. May He strengthen your faith, open your eyes to see more of His goodness and truth, and according to His perfect will and timing bring complete healing in Jesus name.
