The spit of His lips enlightened blind eyes, and the very leaves of the tree of life are for healing. Think on this: the least thing about Christ is full of health. You have begun to see floaters, but a greater sight is coming. Faith is to a man like new eyes, eyes which wax not dim but grow more bright. You say the doctor expects resolution, yet you plead with the Great Physician. This is well, all our healing lies in Christ. He is the Physician, and He is the Medicine too. Do not strain after your own recovery; the way to get your soul restored is not to try to restore yourself. But lift your eyes, and look to Christ.
You ask for increase in your work among the bruised. It is a blessed desire, for He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. Remember, healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus beholds faith, He goes to the root of the disease. As you labor among the traumatized, see to it that your own eyes look right on, fixed upon Him. The spit of His lips, the hem of His garment, touch it now. Put forth your finger, ###, and the virtue will flow.
And for the temporal need you cast upon your Father, surely He who opened Hagar’s eyes to the well is able to show you His provision already near at hand. She had bright eyes, yet could not see the water, until God opened them. Beloved, our fellowship with Jesus is not a luxury for red-letter days, but the necessary provision of every day. He makes me to lie down in green pastures, and His restoring work comes often when we least expect it. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings; the very leaves of His tree are for you. Let your eyes look right on, and let that focus be the Lord Jesus. He will save, He will heal, He will provide.
