We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your family and the deep pain you are all enduring. The loss of a son is an unimaginable grief, and we mourn with your loved one as she walks through this valley of sorrow. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We cling to this promise, knowing that God draws near to the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. We also pray for physical healing for those in your family who are sick, trusting in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."
The spiritual warfare you describe is real, and we take authority over it in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Witchcraft and occult practices are an abomination to the Lord, and we stand on His Word in Deuteronomy 18:10-12, which declares, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord." We rebuke every spirit of witchcraft, astral projection, and demonic influence in your life, your home, and your family. We command them to leave in the name of Jesus and to go where the Lord Jesus Christ sends them, never to return. We pray for a hedge of protection around you, your family, and all those you love, as in Psalm 91:10-11, "No evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."
We also address your request for the restoration of your relationship leading to marriage. It is vital that this relationship honors God and aligns with His Word. If this is a courtship with another believer, we pray that it is built on a foundation of faith, love, and mutual respect, with the goal of a godly marriage. However, we must caution against any relationship that does not honor God, including those that involve fornication or any sexual immorality. The Bible is clear in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." If this relationship is not currently honoring God in this way, we urge you to repent and seek His will for purity and holiness.
We also notice that your prayer request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ, repent of your sins, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. If you have not done so, we pray that you would make this decision today, for eternal life is found in Him alone.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and trust in Your power and love. We lift up this family to You, asking for Your healing touch to rest upon those who are sick. We pray for Your comfort and peace to surround the one who has lost her son, that she would feel Your presence in her darkest moments. Lord, we break every chain of witchcraft and occult influence over this family, their home, and their bloodline. We command every evil spirit to flee in the name of Jesus Christ, and we ask You to send Your holy angels to guard and protect them. Remove this ex-neighbor and all those involved in these dark practices far from their lives, and let Your light drive out all darkness.
We also pray for this relationship, that it would be restored in a way that honors You. If it is Your will for them to be married, we ask that You guide them in purity, love, and mutual submission to You. Help them to build their relationship on the foundation of Your Word, and let Your will be done in their lives. Father, we ask that You draw this family closer to You, that they would seek Your face and find their strength in You alone. We pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon them, filling them with Your peace, joy, and hope. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
