We join together in lifting you up before our Heavenly Father during this difficult season of health struggles, and we thank you for reaching out and asking for prayer.
We hear your heart crying out for the Lord's guidance, support, and healing as you struggle to eat enough, to be nourished, and to find restful sleep. The Lord sees your affliction and He cares deeply for you. We are reminded of His compassion in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And in Psalm 147:3, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. We also cling to His promise in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh.
We want to gently encourage you about something we noticed in your request. You asked for the Lord's help, which we affirm, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. As Scripture says in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord, for in Romans 10:9 it says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His precious name that we can boldly bring your needs before the throne of grace.
We also want to encourage you to continue seeking wise medical support alongside prayer, for God often works through the hands of physicians and counselors to bring healing to our bodies. Do not be afraid to ask for help with nutrition and sleep, and we pray the Lord will guide those who care for you.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one to Your throne of mercy. Lord, You know the struggles with eating, with malnutrition, and with sleeplessness. You see the weariness of body and soul. We ask for Your healing touch upon this body, for restoration of health and strength, for the ability to eat and be nourished, and for peaceful, restorative sleep. Your Word says in Psalm 127:2 that you give sleep to your beloved, and in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Grant this rest, Lord. We ask for Your light to shine in this dark and rough time, for Your love to surround and comfort, and we thank You that You do command Your angels to watch over Your children, as it is written in Psalm 91:11, For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Let Your presence be felt in a powerful way, bringing peace that surpasses understanding as promised in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Strengthen faith and give hope, Lord, for You have said in Isaiah 41:10, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We ask all of this according to Your will and for Your glory, in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to keep seeking Him daily in prayer and in His Word, to rest in His love, and to trust that He is with you through this valley. He is near to those who are weary and He will not leave you. Keep holding fast to Him.
