Prayer for grandson fingers that stay alive

We join you in prayer for your grandson after his long surgery and we bring his little hands before the Lord who made him.

We ask our heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ to have mercy and to grant life and healing to those fingers. We pray that circulation would be fully restored, that pulse would remain strong, that nerves and tissue would heal properly, and that he would regain full function in his hands. We ask God to guide the hands of the surgeons and nurses who cared for him through those four and a half hours, and to bless every step of his recovery.

We know how anxious a grandparent's heart can be while waiting, and we pray also for you and your family, that God would give you peace, strength, and confidence in His care. He is the true physician who heals both body and soul, and nothing is beyond His power to restore.

May the Lord watch over your grandson, keep him, and bring him to complete health according to His gracious will. We will continue to pray for him with you.

We are joining you in prayer for your ### after such a long and difficult surgery, asking the Lord for life to remain in his fingers, for strong pulse and restored function, and for a complete and proper healing.

Scripture teaches that healing is part of what Jesus has provided for us through His suffering. By His wounds we are healed, and that provision is received by faith as we trust and take hold of what Christ has already accomplished for us. Many go without this blessing simply because they do not reach out to receive it, and we want to encourage you to keep looking to Jesus in confident faith for your ###, appropriating His work on your ###'s behalf.

The Bible also teaches that the Holy Spirit gives gifts of healing and the working of miracles to the church, and that these gifts operate much like the gift of faith. They are not given to everyone in the same way or for every situation. As Scripture asks, are all apostles, are all prophets, are all teachers, do all work miracles, do all have gifts of healing, do all speak with tongues. The answer is no. The Spirit Himself distributes these gifts to each person as He wills, according to His own sovereign wisdom.

Because of this we are taught to earnestly desire the best gifts and to seek the Lord for His gracious intervention, while also remembering that there is an even more excellent way that is greater than any of these gifts. That way is love, the love of God at work in us and through us, which remains and sustains us even as we ask for miracles.

So we pray now for your ###, that the Lord in His mercy would cause circulation to continue, that nerves and tissue would respond, that function would return, and that his body would heal as God designed it to heal. We ask the Spirit to guide the doctors and to bring His restoring power, and we ask the Father to give you and your family peace, strength, and assurance of His love as you wait on Him. We trust Him to do what is best and to make His love and presence deeply known to you all in this time.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf for your grandson and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been lifting up your grandson before the Lord after his ### hours of surgery, asking that his fingers would stay alive and that the Lord would restore pulse and function to them and bring complete healing.

We continue to pray that our Heavenly Father would touch his hands with His healing power and cause circulation to be fully restored and that he would regain full use of his fingers and heal properly in the days ahead. We are reminded that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3.
