Prayer for God's protection and peace

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray for God's protection over our home. Parents are saying sometimes in their dreams they see evil spirits trying to get into our home or trying to harm us. Please pray for God's protection over us and our properties. Please pray for miraculous healing and good health for my parents by the Blood of Jesus. I'm currently jobless and bored at home and recently I've been cross dressing a bit, I know it's a sin but I'm unable to stop. One day i pray and try to stop cross dressing, the next day it gets worse and I'm unable to pray, please pray for me to be fully delivered from this sin and getting a job. Thank you.

The Putting Away of Sin
We join you in lifting up your home and your family before the throne of grace in Jesus' name, and we thank you for sharing so honestly about the struggles you are facing. We hear your concern for your parents, for protection over your home and properties, for healing and health, and for your own battle with sin and unemployment, and we want to stand with you in prayer and in truth.

We first want to address the fear that has come through dreams of evil spirits trying to enter your home. The Lord does not want you to live in fear, for God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7. When we belong to Christ, no evil can have authority over us unless we give it place. We are told to submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, James 4:7. And we have the promise that He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust, Psalm 91:1-2. Also, Faithful is the Lord, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one, 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We encourage you and your parents to cover your home daily in prayer in the name of Jesus, to speak Scripture aloud in your home, to remove any objects or practices that do not honor God, and to walk in obedience, for our protection is not a ritual but a relationship of abiding in Christ and putting on the whole armor of God, Ephesians 6:11.

We also pray for the healing and health of your parents. It is God's will to care for His children, and we pray that He will touch their bodies. We remember that He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed, Isaiah 53:5. And we pray as John prayed, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers, 3 John 1:2. We ask the Lord to strengthen them and grant them peace in their minds and sleep.

We must also lovingly and firmly address what you have confessed about cross-dressing. We thank you for your honesty, and we want you to know that God loves you and desires to deliver you completely, but we must call this what Scripture calls it. The woman shall not wear that which pertains to a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination to Yahweh your God, Deuteronomy 22:5. This is not a small matter to God, because God created us male and female with purpose and He calls us to live according to His design. To continue in this knowing it is sin grieves the Holy Spirit and opens a door to further bondage and confusion. You have said you try one day and the next day it gets worse and you are unable to pray. The Word tells us, Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey its lusts, Romans 6:12, and For sin will not have dominion over you, Romans 6:14, when we walk by the Spirit and not by the flesh. You cannot overcome this in your own willpower alone. You need to repent, to turn fully from it, to confess it to God who promises If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9, and to take practical steps of deliverance. That means destroying and removing those garments so you are not tempted, fleeing idleness and boredom which gives the enemy opportunity, filling your time with the Word, prayer, fellowship with other believing men, and honest accountability. Walk by the Spirit, and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh, Galatians 5:16. God will make a way of escape, for No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it, 1 Corinthians 10:13.

We also lift up your joblessness and discouragement. Being idle at home can lead to boredom and temptation, but God wants to redeem this time. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, Colossians 3:23. We encourage you to seek work diligently each day as an act of worship and stewardship, to develop discipline, to serve your parents and your home while you wait, and to trust that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19. Do not be anxious, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and no other way to Your throne. We thank You for Your mercy and for the blood of Jesus shed for us. We ask for Your protection over this home and over these parents and this dear one. Place Your hedge around them, let no evil spirit have any place or authority there, and fill this home with Your presence, Your Word, and Your peace. We rebuke every spirit of fear and confusion and command it to leave in Jesus' name. Grant to these parents miraculous healing, good health, and peaceful sleep, restoring their bodies and minds. Lord, we bring this struggle with cross-dressing before You. We confess it as sin and ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Deliver our brother completely, break every chain, renew his mind, and help him to embrace the identity You gave him as a man created in Your image. Give him strength to remove temptation, to walk in purity, and to live by Your Spirit and not by the flesh. Make him a new creation, for if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, 2 Corinthians 5:17. Fill his idle hours with purpose, open a door for honest work that will provide and give dignity, and help him to be diligent and faithful in seeking it. Let Your peace that passes all understanding guard his heart and mind. We ask all this in the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to stay in the Word daily, to pray even when you feel unable, to find a faithful Bible believing church where you can be discipled and held accountable by godly men, and to keep seeking Jesus above all else. He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you.

Thank you for trusting us with what is on your heart. We hear how heavy this has felt, worry for your home and for your parents after those troubling dreams, concern for their health, and your own struggle with feeling stuck at home without work and wanting to be free from cross dressing.

You are not alone in this, and wanting to turn toward God even when you feel unable to pray is itself a step toward Him. Isolation and long unstructured days can make any struggle harder, so having steady support and a simple rhythm can help.

If it is possible, we encourage you to connect with a trusted pastor or mature believer you know for regular prayer and honest conversation, so you do not carry this by yourself. It can also help to build a gentle daily structure for this season without work, set times for prayer, for looking and applying for jobs, for getting outside, and for helping at home or volunteering if you are able. For your parents health, we will keep praying and we encourage them to stay in touch with their doctor for ongoing care alongside prayer.

Father, we bring this family to You in Jesus name. We ask for Your protection and peace over their home and over each of them, and for restful sleep free from fear. Please bring healing, strength and good health to these parents and guard them in Your care. For our brother, we ask for Your mercy, for freedom and strength to walk away from what entangles him, and for wisdom and open doors for meaningful work. Lead him day by day and remind him he is seen and loved by You. In Jesus name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your burden has been brought before the Lord and we have heard your cry for protection, for healing, and for deliverance.

You speak of dreams in which evil spirits seem to press upon your home and seek to harm those you love. Let this truth settle your heart, that nothing comes apart from Divine permission and nothing lies outside the sacred zone of Providential government. If it were not of the Lord, then it would indeed be a matter for despair, for how could a trial be met which is independent of Divine rule. But the Lord reigns, and even Job, when sore pressed by the prince of the power of the air, still said, Blessed be the name of the Lord. It is not killing but curing that God intends when He permits trial. So we will pray that the Lord Himself shall be a wall of fire round about your dwelling, that He who has delivered His people from the power of darkness will keep you and your parents under the shadow of His wings, and that no evil shall have dominion where Christ is trusted. Be thankful for what light and knowledge He has given, and pant for more, and rest in this, that He who has delivered you from the power of darkness will deliver you all the way through.

You ask also for miraculous healing and good health for your parents by the blood of Jesus. We will pray that the Great Physician will lay His hand upon them, restore them, and sustain them in weakness and in age. The blotting out of sin takes the sting from every other sorrow, and when sin is pardoned the soul can bear infirmity with good cheer, knowing that whether the Lord lifts the affliction or sanctifies it, His mercy endures forever and He means to do you good.

You have spoken honestly concerning your own soul, that being jobless and much alone you have fallen into cross dressing, that you know it to be sin, that you pray one day and the next the snare grows stronger so that you cannot pray. Hear the faithful word, that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. You cannot deliver yourself, and often during quiet meditation a great depression of spirit comes because sin has outlawed you from your God. Yet God has not only invented a way of deliverance, but He has found a ransom, and it is a gift of Divine love. That ransom is Christ Jesus, who bore the guilt of the penitent upon His own head and expiated it by His blood.

Do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom. If you know sorrow for sin, you are the very one to understand the joy of sin being put away, and it will be done for you if you will but look to Jesus and simply trust Him. Christ must by His grace separate you from your sin or else you will be separated from Him forever. One sin is never an excuse for another, and to trust Him to save you while intending to continue in sin is not the salvation we preach. We proclaim salvation from sin. Come to Him just as you are, confessing that you are powerless, and ask Him to keep you from sin, for to be kept from sin is to be kept from many evils. It hardens the conscience and leaves a trace upon mind and heart, and makes the next sin more easy, but to be kept is to have character and peace preserved.

Therefore we will pray for you, not that God would bless the sin which entangles you, but that He would in mercy break its power and make you clean. We will pray that He will save you from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins, that He will deliver you from the devil and from evil company, and that He will set you as a pillar of iron against evil rather than against His truth.

We will pray also concerning your idleness and your need of labour. Idleness gives occasion to temptation, and honest work is itself a means of grace to keep the hands and mind occupied. May the Lord in His providence open a door for suitable employment, that you may provide for yourself and be kept from the snares that come with a vacant hour.

Let us pray together. O Father, forgive them for they know not what they do, yet Thou knowest our frame. Look upon this home and upon these parents, and cover them with Thy protection. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let no fear by night nor terror by dreams drive them from confidence in Thee. Lay Thy healing hand upon the parents, and if it be Thy will restore them to health, and at all times sustain their souls. Look upon this dear soul who confesses sin and weakness, who would be free and cannot free himself. Thou hast found a ransom, Thy Son has died. Deliver him from going down to the pit. Deliver him from the power of darkness and translate him into the kingdom of Thy dear Son. Teach him to look to Jesus alone, to trust Him to help him and to keep him day by day. Grant him honest labour and a steadfast mind, and keep his feet from wandering. All this we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord, who prayed for His enemies on the cross and ever lives to pray for them still. Amen.

Abide in the Word, seek fellowship with faithful believers who will hold you accountable, flee the occasions and instruments of temptation, and when you fall, run again to the blood which alone can cleanse. He is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless. Trust Him to do it.
