We join you in lifting up your home and your family before the throne of grace in Jesus' name, and we thank you for sharing so honestly about the struggles you are facing. We hear your concern for your parents, for protection over your home and properties, for healing and health, and for your own battle with sin and unemployment, and we want to stand with you in prayer and in truth.
We first want to address the fear that has come through dreams of evil spirits trying to enter your home. The Lord does not want you to live in fear, for God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7. When we belong to Christ, no evil can have authority over us unless we give it place. We are told to submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, James 4:7. And we have the promise that He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust, Psalm 91:1-2. Also, Faithful is the Lord, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one, 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We encourage you and your parents to cover your home daily in prayer in the name of Jesus, to speak Scripture aloud in your home, to remove any objects or practices that do not honor God, and to walk in obedience, for our protection is not a ritual but a relationship of abiding in Christ and putting on the whole armor of God, Ephesians 6:11.
We also pray for the healing and health of your parents. It is God's will to care for His children, and we pray that He will touch their bodies. We remember that He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed, Isaiah 53:5. And we pray as John prayed, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers, 3 John 1:2. We ask the Lord to strengthen them and grant them peace in their minds and sleep.
We must also lovingly and firmly address what you have confessed about cross-dressing. We thank you for your honesty, and we want you to know that God loves you and desires to deliver you completely, but we must call this what Scripture calls it. The woman shall not wear that which pertains to a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination to Yahweh your God, Deuteronomy 22:5. This is not a small matter to God, because God created us male and female with purpose and He calls us to live according to His design. To continue in this knowing it is sin grieves the Holy Spirit and opens a door to further bondage and confusion. You have said you try one day and the next day it gets worse and you are unable to pray. The Word tells us, Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey its lusts, Romans 6:12, and For sin will not have dominion over you, Romans 6:14, when we walk by the Spirit and not by the flesh. You cannot overcome this in your own willpower alone. You need to repent, to turn fully from it, to confess it to God who promises If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9, and to take practical steps of deliverance. That means destroying and removing those garments so you are not tempted, fleeing idleness and boredom which gives the enemy opportunity, filling your time with the Word, prayer, fellowship with other believing men, and honest accountability. Walk by the Spirit, and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh, Galatians 5:16. God will make a way of escape, for No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it, 1 Corinthians 10:13.
We also lift up your joblessness and discouragement. Being idle at home can lead to boredom and temptation, but God wants to redeem this time. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, Colossians 3:23. We encourage you to seek work diligently each day as an act of worship and stewardship, to develop discipline, to serve your parents and your home while you wait, and to trust that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19. Do not be anxious, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.
We now pray together for you.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and no other way to Your throne. We thank You for Your mercy and for the blood of Jesus shed for us. We ask for Your protection over this home and over these parents and this dear one. Place Your hedge around them, let no evil spirit have any place or authority there, and fill this home with Your presence, Your Word, and Your peace. We rebuke every spirit of fear and confusion and command it to leave in Jesus' name. Grant to these parents miraculous healing, good health, and peaceful sleep, restoring their bodies and minds. Lord, we bring this struggle with cross-dressing before You. We confess it as sin and ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Deliver our brother completely, break every chain, renew his mind, and help him to embrace the identity You gave him as a man created in Your image. Give him strength to remove temptation, to walk in purity, and to live by Your Spirit and not by the flesh. Make him a new creation, for if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, 2 Corinthians 5:17. Fill his idle hours with purpose, open a door for honest work that will provide and give dignity, and help him to be diligent and faithful in seeking it. Let Your peace that passes all understanding guard his heart and mind. We ask all this in the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to stay in the Word daily, to pray even when you feel unable, to find a faithful Bible believing church where you can be discipled and held accountable by godly men, and to keep seeking Jesus above all else. He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you.
