Prayer for God's Glory to Manifest in my life

Disciple of Prayer
Father, Like Moses, I cry out today- Show me Your glory! Reveal Your goodness, Your mercy and Your compassion in every area of my life" Lord, create in me a consuming hunger for prayer and for the Scriptures.

We join with you in this holy and beautiful cry, Show me Your glory, and we rejoice at the hunger God has already placed in your heart for more of Him. This is the cry of Moses when he said, Please show me your glory, Exodus 33:18, and the Lord answered him, I will make all my goodness pass before you, and will proclaim Yahweh’s name before you, Exodus 33:19. What Moses saw was the very character of God, for the Lord passed by before him and proclaimed, Yahweh, Yahweh, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth, Exodus 34:6. This is what you are asking for, not just an experience, but a revelation of who He is, His goodness, His mercy and His compassion made manifest in every area of your life.

We pray that the Lord will cultivate in you that consuming hunger for prayer and for the Scriptures, for that hunger itself is a gift from Him. Jesus said, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, Matthew 5:6. As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants after you, God, Psalm 42:1. And He promises, You shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart, Jeremiah 29:13. When we draw near to Him through prayer and His Word, He draws near to us, James 4:8, and transforms us. We all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit, 2 Corinthians 3:18.

We also noticed your prayer was offered to the Father and to the Lord, and we want to lovingly encourage you to come always in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and see His glory. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we can boldly approach the throne of grace and cry, Show me Your glory.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of our dear fellow believer. We thank You for the hunger You have birthed in them for Your presence. Like Moses, they cry out to see Your glory, and we ask You to answer as You did for him. Reveal Your goodness, Your mercy and Your compassion in every area of their life, in their home, their work, their heart and their future. Open their eyes as the psalmist prayed, Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things out of your law, Psalm 119:18. Create in them a deep and abiding delight in prayer and in Your Word, that they would seek You early and find You to be their portion. Let them behold Your glory and be transformed from glory to glory into the image of Christ. Fill them with Your Spirit, satisfy their hunger and thirst, and let Your goodness pass before them so that all who see their life will see Your glory. We ask this in the mighty and only name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We were moved by your honest cry to see more of God's glory. That hunger itself is a gift, and we thank God He has placed it in you.

We hear two desires in your prayer, to know His goodness more deeply and to want Him more consistently in prayer and the Word. Those two go together. Hunger often grows not by trying harder but by tasting more, by giving God steady, unhurried space to meet us.

One simple way we have seen help is to keep it small and steady. Choose a quiet time you can keep most days, even ten or fifteen minutes, and let it be unhurried. Read a short portion slowly, pause to talk honestly with God about what you read and what is on your heart, and then sit quietly for a moment to listen. Some days will feel rich and some will feel dry, and both are part of learning to walk with Him.

We are praying for you as you seek Him, that you would sense His nearness and kindness in everyday places.

Father, we lift our friend to You. Show Your goodness and mercy in fresh ways, and draw them closer to You day by day. Kindle a steady desire to meet with You in prayer and in Your Word, and let Your presence be their comfort and strength. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your cry is the very cry of Moses, I beseech You, show me Your Glory, and it is the greatest petition that man ever asked of God. I rejoice to hear it from your lips, for it proves that the Spirit of God is already at work within you. Moses had first asked to see the Lord's way before he prayed to see His glory. This is the true mode of prayer. Rest not content with past answers, but go again and double your request. When God has heard prayer for one thing, faith comes and asks for two, and when He has given two, faith asks for six, for faith can scale the walls of Heaven. She is a giant grace.

Know this, that the goodness of God is the glory of God. The Lord said to Moses, I will make all My goodness pass before you. The brightest gem in the crown of our God is His goodness, and there is a panorama in it such as time would not be long enough for you to see. You ask that His goodness, His mercy and His compassion might be revealed in every area of your life, and rightly so. Yet remember that the glory of man and the glory of circumstances shall pass away as the beauty of the flower in the field which is soon cut down beneath the mower's scythe. The true glory which shall be your rereward is to be kept and preserved and at last made like unto the Firstborn among many brethren.

Therefore I pray with you and for you. May the Lord create in you that consuming hunger for prayer and for the Scriptures for which you ask, for such hunger is itself His gift. Continue to agonize with all your heart in prayer to God, for by your power in prayer, God's power is set in motion to accomplish that which shall be for His glory and for your good. Search the Scriptures daily, for there His goodness in creation and in providence and above all in redemption is made known. Perhaps we have as much reason to bless the Lord for what He has revealed as for what He has in wisdom concealed, for all is for His glory and for our benefit.

If you will but believe and trust Jesus Christ alone to utterly save you, you shall see the glory of God, and it will be impossible for a single note of praise to be given to yourself, but all the glory shall be to His rich, all conquering, sovereign grace. May the God of peace be with you and cause His face to shine upon you, and may He excite you to incessant intercession and to love for His Word, that you may live wholly to His glory, for Jesus sake. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
