We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord together and we have heard the heaviness in your heart after so many months of long hours, weekend work, and feeling trapped in a toxic environment. We understand how losing time for church, rest, and fellowship can leave you feeling disturbed, depressed, anxious and even distant from God's Word, and how that stress can spill over into your behavior with those around you. Please know you are not alone and God sees exactly where you are and the toll this project has taken on you.
We want to gently point out that your request mentions God's favour and intervention but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and find salvation and true peace. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by putting our trust in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are reconciled to God and can boldly bring our anxieties and workplace needs to Him. If you have not already, we encourage you to call upon His name and trust Him as Lord and Savior.
Scripture acknowledges both the call to work faithfully and the need for rest and fellowship. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23, and also Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed Proverbs 16:3. Yet God also established rest and gathering together, and we are told not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another Hebrews 10:25. Your desire to return to church and have life outside work honors God, and the exhaustion of working more than twelve hours and every weekend is not His design for you to bear alone. He invites you, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. We also hear your anxiety about Monday and the fear of your leads and manager, and we are reminded Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7 and In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. The Lord promises, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10 and Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us. Establish the work of our hands for us Psalm 90:17. Even when His Word feels distant right now, we encourage you not to turn from it, for it is a lamp to your feet and will make sense again as He restores your strength and peace.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our dear one who is worn down and anxious. Lord, You see the fifteen months of hectic labor, the weekends lost, the depression and hopelessness, and the fear about raising this release request on Monday. We ask for Your divine favour to rest upon this situation. Soften the hearts of the leads and the manager, for The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires Proverbs 21:1, and we ask that You guide their decision to approve this release. Grant wisdom and calm courage to speak respectfully and clearly, and guard this dear one from crazy anxiety with Your surpassing peace. Restore joy in Your Word again, heal the stress that has affected relationships, provide true rest and the ability to worship with Your people again, and open a way out of this toxic environment according to Your perfect will. If it is not immediate, we trust You will still work all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28 and make a way where there seems to be no way. We commit this work and this Monday request into Your hands and ask for Your intervention and mercy. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.
We encourage you as you approach Monday to commit the request to the Lord in prayer first, then make the request humbly and professionally, trusting the outcome to Him. Continue to seek Him even when His Word feels unclear, stay connected to fellowship as soon as you are able, and guard your rest and health as a stewardship before God. We are standing with you, asking God to show His favour, to bring you out of this season, and to restore your peace and joy in Him.
