Prayer for giving birth safely

My wife ### is close to giving birth , please agree with us in prayer that she will deliver without any complications. God is in control

We lift up ### and her precious little one to the Lord with hearts full of faith, knowing that every good and perfect gift comes from above. The journey of childbirth is a sacred and miraculous work of God, and we stand in agreement with you, declaring that He is indeed in control. We pray for a safe delivery, free from complications, and for the Lord’s peace to surround ### as she brings new life into this world.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 139:13-14, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." What a beautiful reminder that this child is fearfully and wonderfully made by the Creator Himself. We trust in His perfect design and timing.

Father God, we ask You to guide the hands of the doctors, nurses, and all those who will be assisting in this delivery. Grant them wisdom, skill, and discernment as they care for ### and her baby. We pray for strength and endurance for ###, that she would feel Your presence and peace in every moment. Calm any fear or anxiety, Lord, and replace it with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).

We also pray for the health and safety of both mother and child. Protect them from any harm or danger, and let this birth be a testimony to Your faithfulness and goodness. May this precious life be a light for Your kingdom, raised to know and love You from the very beginning.

Lord, we thank You for the gift of life and for the joy that children bring. We trust in Your promises and declare that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We commit this delivery into Your hands, knowing that You hold all things together (Colossians 1:17). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this blessed event.

In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We are grateful you invited us to stand with you in prayer for your wife and the little one on the way. Those final days before birth carry so much anticipation, and a few nerves are only natural, but you’ve anchored everything in a true and steady place: God is in control. He knit this child together, and He will not leave or your family now.

One simple thing many fathers have found meaningful is to speak a calming verse or quietly sing a familiar hymn while she labors. It is not about technique, it is a way of staying present, gently pointing her heart toward the One who sustains her. Whatever you do, your steady, prayerful presence will be a gift to her.

As we have prayed for this week, we have simply asked for safety, peace, and a calm confidence for you both. So we continue:

Father, we lift to you now. Thank you for the life you have formed and for your faithful care through every month of this pregnancy. As she gives birth, grant her strength, steady her heart, and let your peace drive out fear. Give the medical team wisdom and attentiveness. Bring this child safely into the world, healthy and whole. Sustain this husband as he supports her, and let them both rest in the certainty that you are near. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

The Lord is King; who then shall dare resist His will, distrust His care, or murmur at His wise decrees? You have asked prayer for your wife as she draws near to the time of delivery, and we join with you in faith, for God is in control. He who holds the waters in the hollow of His hand will take care of her; He shall cover her with His feathers, and under His wings shall you trust. Is it not lawful for Him to do what He will with His own? Yet His will is ever love, for He has taught us to call Him Ishi, our Husband, in tender nearness. He has been your Teacher from your youth, and in this hour, though the future is concealed from your eyes, it is clear to Him who ordains all things well. We pray that she shall deliver safely and without complication, and we believe that this child shall be a jewel in His sight, safe and secure forever. Look unto Him, and be at peace, for He is God, and there is none else.

Your request reaches me as a sweet echo of that labor of love which the Apostle extols, a love that spares no pains, that stands in the breach for another. And you ask us to agree in prayer for your wife, that she be delivered safely, without complication. This is no small thing: it is the very labor of love to bring a soul before the throne of God, to plead with confidence, not for earthly gain, but for mercy in the hour of trial. Indeed, to love genuinely is great labor, for a thousand things rise up to pull us from it, yet you hold fast, entrusting all to the Lord.

Let us then lift our hearts together, not with frantic clamor but with that peace which belongs to those who seek first the kingdom of Heaven. You say truly: God is in control. Why then be troubled, as if the outcome hung upon our own striving? The Gentiles chase after such things, their whole thought upon the body’s safety and the span of this fleeting life. But to us, Christ has shown a better way: do not be anxious, for your heavenly Father knows what you need. What is required is not a lengthy journey or a mighty effort, but a will fixed on Him, a trust that puts no limit on His goodness. The same God who formed the child in the womb, who numbered every day before one came to be, He will bring this travail to its fulfillment. Let this hope anchor you; it does not disappoint.

So we pray with you, not merely for a body free from pain, but for the soul to be enlarged in gratitude, for the faith of both parents to shine brighter, and for this new life to be received as a gift that points to the world to come. There is no need to cross the ocean or to labor anxiously; it is enough to place your will in His hands, and all that is needful will be added. The waves may swell, but the harbor is near. Entrust wife and child to Him who spared not His own Son, and believe that He who has begun this good work in your family will complete it, that you may see the fruit of your love and together sing a hymn of thanksgiving. We stand with you in this prayer, expecting the mercy that never fails those who put their hope in the Lord alone.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing this beautiful request. I am praying with you and standing in agreement that your wife will deliver safely, without any complication, and that God’s peace will fill the room.

These final days before a child arrives can feel long and heavy. The body is weary, and so often the heart is pulled between joy and concern. You are both walking a path now that can only be traveled by a labor of love, the kind that presses through exhaustion because it is anchored in something, and Someone, greater than the moment. When faith, hope, and love truly hold you, they don’t just lift the spirit; they carry the body when its strength runs low. That labor, so close now, is not empty toil. It is the work that ushers new life into the world, and it carries weight forever.

Remember that God is fully in control, not as a distant observer but as a Father who moves every detail for the good of His children. Just as He once orchestrated a decree from a ruler across the sea so that a young couple would be in just the right town at just the right time for a promised birth, so He has seen every moment of this pregnancy. Nothing is impossible with Him. He is not scrambling to catch up, and you do not need to carry the weight of the outcome on your own shoulders. Human plans and anxious striving add nothing; this is His work through the natural process He designed, and He will sustain your wife.

Soon, by God’s grace, you will hear those first cries and see that little face that tugs at the heart in a way nothing else can. The joy that follows will be a portion given to you straight from His hand. And in that joy, be reminded that this child is not only a gift to love, but a soul to raise in holiness and righteousness. God delivers us from fear, including the fear that hovers over a delivery room, so that we might serve Him freely, serving our families and our little ones with hearts made right by Him.

As you wait, rest in His care. The God who held your wife through these months will be present when the time comes. And you are not alone: your brothers and sisters in Christ are joined with you now, lifting you up. Stand still, and watch the faithfulness of the Lord who brings life into the world.
