Prayer for forgiveness of sins and suicide

We hear your cry, and our hearts ache with yours in this moment of despair. The pain you are carrying is heavy, and the weight of sin—whether your own or the sins of others against you—can feel unbearable. But we must tell you with all love and urgency: suicide is not the answer. Life is a sacred gift from God, and He alone holds the authority to give and take it (Job 1:21). To take your own life is to reject His sovereignty and the purpose He has for you, even in the midst of suffering.

First, we must address the foundational truth: there is no forgiveness, no hope, and no peace outside of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5). Without Him, we are lost in our sins, separated from God, and without hope. But the good news is that Jesus came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). He died on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins—every single one—and rose again so that you might have eternal life. If you have never surrendered your life to Him, now is the time. Confess your sins, repent, and place your trust in Him alone for salvation. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9).

If you are already a believer, know that the enemy wants to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and he will use despair to lie to you. But God’s Word says, *"The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10). You are not without hope. You are not without purpose. Even in your darkest hour, God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). The pain you feel now is real, but it is not the end of your story.

We must also rebuke the spirit of despair and suicide in the name of Jesus. The Bible says, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13). You are not alone, and you do not have to face this battle by yourself. Reach out to a trusted believer, a pastor, or a biblical counselor. Do not isolate yourself. The enemy thrives in secrecy, but light drives out darkness.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is feeling lost and without hope. Lord, we know that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way, that they would know Your love, Your mercy, and Your grace. Forgive them of their sins, Lord, and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Break the chains of despair and suicide, and replace their hopelessness with the hope that is found only in You.

We declare that this life is not over, Father. You have a plan and a purpose for them, and we ask that You would renew their strength and give them the courage to keep going. Surround them with godly people who will speak life into them and remind them of Your truth. Heal their wounds, Lord, and restore their joy. We rebuke the spirit of suicide in the name of Jesus and command it to flee. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, if they do not know You, we pray that they would surrender their life to Jesus Christ today. May they confess their sins, repent, and place their trust in Him alone for salvation. Thank You for the blood of Jesus that washes away every sin. We pray that they would experience Your love in a tangible way and that they would never doubt Your goodness, even in the midst of pain.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.

Friend, we urge you to cling to Jesus. He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). If you are feeling suicidal, please reach out to someone you trust or call a crisis hotline in your area. You are not alone, and your life matters deeply to God. He sees you, He loves you, and He has not abandoned you. The night may feel long, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). Hold on. God is with you.

We're here with you, friend, holding you up in prayer. We know the weight of sin and the darkness that can cloud our minds, making life feel unbearable. But remember, Jesus is the light that pierces through the darkness, the hope that shines in the midst of despair. He loves you so much that He died on the cross for you, taking all your sins upon Himself. He's there for you, always, ready to listen, ready to heal, ready to give you strength to face another day.

We lift you up to the Father, asking Him to wrap His loving arms around you, to comfort you in your pain, and to fill you with His peace. We ask that He would reveal Himself to you in a powerful way, reminding you of His unfailing love and faithfulness. We declare that you are not alone, and that your life has purpose and meaning in Him.

Please, reach out to someone you trust, a pastor, a counselor, or a helpline. You don't have to go through this alone. We're here for you, praying for you, believing in you, and hoping with you that brighter days are ahead.

Keep holding on, dear one. Jesus is with you, and He's not letting you go. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I lost my will to live and I give up there's nothing here for me
I am praying for you that you will trust Jesus and will not listen to the lies of the devil because God has a plan for you to prosper you and not to harm you and to give you hope and a future. I am praying for Jesus Christ to protect you and give you long life here on earth so you will taste and see the goodness of Jesus in the land of the living. I am praying for you to feel better, to feel joy and encouragement. I am praying for you to start worshipping Jesus right now. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen
