We join with you in thanking our Lord Jesus Christ for His provision and for the heart you have to bless your daughter. Your generosity reflects the love of our Father in heaven, who gives good gifts to His children. It is beautiful to see your trust in Him, even as you face financial challenges. Let us remind you of the words of our Lord in **Matthew 6:31-33 (WEB)**, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."*
We also commend your contentment and faith, even as you acknowledge that your own circumstances at her age were different. This reflects the heart of **Philippians 4:11-13 (WEB)**, where Paul says, *"Not that I speak in respect to lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."*
Yet, we must also gently remind you that while it is noble to help your daughter, we must be wise stewards of the resources God has entrusted to us. **1 Timothy 5:8 (WEB)** tells us, *"But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."* While your heart is in the right place, we encourage you to prayerfully consider boundaries that ensure your own needs are met as well. It is not wrong to help, but we must do so in a way that does not leave us in lack, especially when your daughter is an adult and capable of learning responsibility. **Proverbs 22:7 (WEB)** warns, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* If she is to pay you back, it would be wise to establish clear expectations and timelines, not just for your sake, but for her growth in responsibility and stewardship.
As for your food business, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom and creativity. **Proverbs 16:3 (WEB)** says, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* Perhaps this is a season to pray for new ideas, new connections, or even a shift in direction. Ask the Lord to open doors no man can shut and to give you wisdom in managing what He provides. Remember **James 1:5 (WEB)**, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."*
We also want to address something important: while it is good to desire increase, we must be cautious that our hearts do not become consumed by the pursuit of wealth or comfort. **1 Timothy 6:9-10 (WEB)** warns, *"But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."* Let us seek the Lord’s will above all else, trusting that He knows what is best for us.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister to You, thanking You for her heart of generosity and her trust in You. Lord, we ask that You provide for her needs according to Your riches in glory. Open doors for her food business, Lord, and give her creative ideas to generate income in this season. Help her to steward her resources wisely, balancing her desire to bless her daughter with the responsibility to care for herself. We pray for her daughter as well, that You would bless her with wisdom, responsibility, and a heart that seeks You above all else. Protect them both, Lord, and let Your favor rest upon them.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that would try to take hold of her heart. Remind her that You are her Provider, and that You will never leave her nor forsake her. Give her peace that surpasses all understanding as she trusts in You. We ask for divine connections, unexpected blessings, and opportunities that only You can orchestrate. Let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness and provision.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise and honor. Amen.
