Beloved of All
We join you in bringing your family before the Lord and asking for His protection over your home, your minds and your bodies. It is right to ask Him to guard you from both physical and spiritual harm, for Scripture shows that He has authority in both realms, to heal sickness, to calm the storm, and to command evil spirits who must obey Him. He is able to keep you and to send His angels to watch over you, and we pray He will do so according to His wisdom and will.
Your prayer mentions fear, anxiety and confusion, and we want to encourage you with what the Bible says about fear. Fear grows when we forget the Lord and His presence with us. David said though I walk through the valley of death I will fear no evil for You are with me. When we remember who God is, His greatness and power and nearness, fear loses its hold. Fear and faith cannot rule the heart at the same time. Where faith and confidence in God are strong, fear departs. Where fear is allowed to take over, faith is weakened. The enemy often tries to use fear to push us into hasty and wrong decisions, so we are called to be wise and prudent in how we live, but not driven by fear. We do what is wise because we trust God, not because we are afraid of what the enemy might do.
Scripture also speaks of another kind of fear, the fear of the Lord, which is not a tormenting dread but a reverent awe. It is to love what God loves and to hate what He calls evil, including pride and arrogance and perverse speech. This reverence is the beginning and the sum of true knowledge and wisdom. When we walk in that reverence and turn away from evil, it brings health and strength and life. For your family, this means building your relationships on the ways God has given for the family. What He commands is meant to build up and strengthen the home, and what He forbids is what tears it apart. As you honor Him with your lives and with what He has entrusted to you, including your health, your relationships and your finances, He will be your confidence and keep your feet steady. You need not be afraid of sudden terror or the trouble that comes upon those who reject Him, for the Lord Himself will be your security.
We also pray with you concerning health. We believe God heals, sometimes instantly, sometimes gradually through the processes He has placed in our bodies, and sometimes in the mind and emotions where deep wounds need His touch. In every case healing is His work. We ask Him to bring His order and peace into every area you mentioned and to replace fear and confusion with faith and a sound mind.
May the Lord help you to keep your eyes on Him, to hate what is evil and cling to what is good, and to rest in the truth that He is your helper. As it is written, the Lord is my helper, I will not fear what man can do to me.
