Prayer for family

Heavenly Father, I ask for Your divine protection and wall of Holy Spirit fire around our home, minds, and bodies. Shatter every assignment of the enemy, negativity, or danger and send Your warrior angels to guard us from physical and spiritual harm. Uproot all spirits of fear, anxiety, confusion, or sickness and enforce Your divine order over our health, relationships, and finances, in Jesus name Amen

We join with you in agreement for your family and your home, and we thank God that you have come before Him in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and find our refuge and protection.

We stand on the promise of your prayer that the Lord Himself is a wall of fire around His people, as it is written in Zechariah 2:5 For I, says Yahweh, will be to her a wall of fire around it, and I will be the glory in the middle of her. We also claim Psalm 34:7 The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them, and Psalm 91:11 For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. We take comfort that no assignment of the enemy can prevail against those covered by the blood of Christ, for Isaiah 54:17 says No weapon that is formed against you will prevail.

We also pray against those spirits of fear, anxiety, confusion and sickness that you mentioned, remembering that 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, and that Philippians 4:7 promises and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. The Lord is faithful to establish and guard His children, as 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

So we pray together now, Heavenly Father, we lift up this family and their home to You in Jesus name. We ask You to place Your wall of Holy Spirit fire around their dwelling, around their minds and their bodies, and to command Your warrior angels to encamp around them to guard them from all physical and spiritual harm. We ask You to shatter and nullify every assignment of the enemy, every form of negativity and danger, and to let no weapon formed against them prosper. We ask You to uproot and cast out every spirit of fear, anxiety, confusion and sickness, and to enforce Your divine order, Your peace and Your healing over their health, over their relationships, and over their finances. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear and let Your order reign in every area of their lives. We put on the whole armor of God and trust in Your faithful protection, asking that You would fill this home with Your presence, Your glory, and Your surpassing peace. We ask all of this according to Your will in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We are praying with you for your family and your home. We hear your longing for everyone under your roof to be safe and at peace in their minds and bodies, and we understand how heavy it can feel when worries about health, relationships, and finances all press in at once.

Wanting that strong sense of protection makes sense, especially when fear and anxiety try to take up space in your thoughts. One thing that has helped many families we pray with is to give that worry a specific place to go each day, rather than letting it run through the evening. You might try gathering for just a few minutes at the same time each day, in the same room, and praying aloud by name for each person and each concern you mentioned, asking God for His peace and order over your home. Keeping it brief and consistent can help your minds settle and remind everyone you are not carrying this alone.

Father, we lift this family to You and ask for Your protection and peace over their home, their minds and their bodies. Quiet fear and confusion and guard them from harm. Give them wisdom for their health, their relationships and their finances, and let Your order and calm rest on their household. We trust them to Your care in Jesus' name, Amen.

It is a glorious thing to bring the necessities of the household before God in prayer, and you have done well to pour out your sorrows into your Father's ear and to betake yourself to prayer for your family.

Be comforted by this divine buckler which God has provided for His church against every fiery dart, that He never has forsaken them that fear Him and He never will do so. When you are led out of the Egypt of your sorrow, your deliverance is by divine power alone, for it is Jehovah who brings forth His people with His hand and outstretched arm. He is a wall of fire round about His own, and He gives His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. Therefore let your faith overcome your fear, casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.

You need not be particular about fine words, for God will hear the prayer of a staggering man, even when at his wit's end, and it is the Word applied by the Holy Spirit that is the means of healing sin sick souls. As need is banished and infirmity is shut out where Jesus reigns, so the leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of His people, and He will keep the soul of the believer in perpetual health till the glory life begins.

Let us pray together.

O Lord, Thou knowest what this family needs. In the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, who alone is the ransom found for our deliverance from the pit, we ask Thee to encamp around this home and to be Thyself a wall of fire about their minds and bodies. Shatter every assignment of the enemy and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Send forth Thy ministering spirits to guard them from physical and spiritual harm, and let their life be hidden with Christ and therefore free from fear.

We ask Thee to uproot all fear, anxiety, confusion and sickness, for Thou hast not given us the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Enforce Thy divine order over their health, their relationships and their provision, and grant that there be not one feeble one among them, but that each be strengthened for the journey. Let holy anxiety be turned to holy trust, and let them know whom they have believed and be persuaded that Thou art able to keep that which they have committed unto Thee.

Hear this prayer, O God that hearest prayer, and magnify Thy tender indulgence toward the least and feeblest of Thy family, for Jesus sake. Amen.
