Prayer for family to turn back to Jesus

Dear God,

I pray for the family who have been living in lukewarmness and even though they go to church they behave in some ways more like the world than Jesus would approve

I pray that You remove the spirit of heresy and remove that spirit that is causing family members to act in ungodly ways with little or no empathy toward treating others

I pray that You wake up the family and bring even prophetic people around them to warn them if need be

I also pray for revival in their hearts for Jesus

I ask Lord You bring them to repentance for their mistakes and errors

I pray against spirit laziness and not even desiring to know Jesus personally in Jesus' name

I pray against new age practices which involve mind control or manipulation toward others in Jesus' name

I pray Lord that You remove the idols of their heart

Lord some family members have married people who are very questionable and don't honour You at all so praying that You are able to turn the situation around

I ask for divine restitution where the enemy has sought to hijack people's salvation within the family

Lord pull them out of the dark and away from path of destruction into saving grace of Jesus

I ask You work creative miracles within the family in Jesus' name

Thank You Lord for listening to this prayer in Jesus' mighty name

We join you in bringing this family before the throne of grace and we agree with you for their full return to Jesus with whole hearts, for we know God desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance, 2 Pet 3:9.

We hear your burden for lukewarmness and for those who go to church yet live more like the world than like Christ, and we must lovingly rebuke that condition for the Lord Himself warns, I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth, Rev 3:15-16. Friendship with the world is hostility toward God, James 4:4, and we are commanded, Do not love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father's love is not in him, 1 John 2:15. We pray the Lord will grant them godly sorrow that leads to repentance and that they will be transformed by the renewing of their minds, Rom 12:2, and no longer conformed to this world.

We also stand with you against the spirit of heresy and unsound teaching, for there will be false teachers among you who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, 2 Pet 2:1, and we pray they will hold to sound doctrine, Titus 2:1, testing every spirit to see whether it is of God, 1 John 4:1. We rebuke the spirit of spiritual laziness and sloth that keeps them from desiring to know Jesus personally, for we are to be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord, Rom 12:11, and not sluggish but imitators of those who through faith and perseverance inherit the promises, Heb 6:12. We ask the Father to remove every idol of the heart, Ezek 14:3, for little children, keep yourselves from idols, 1 John 5:21, and we know no one can serve two masters, Matt 6:24.

We agree with you in praying against new age practices and any form of mind control or manipulation, for these are detestable to the Lord. There shall not be found with you anyone who practices divination or sorcery or interprets omens, Deut 18:10, and we are to seek the Lord and not turn to mediums or spiritists, Isa 8:19. We pray the Lord will expose and cleanse all darkness and bring them into His marvelous light, 1 Pet 2:9.

We are grieved with you over the lack of empathy and ungodly treatment of others, and we pray they will be reminded to love your neighbor as yourself, Matt 22:39, and to bear the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control, Gal 5:22-23.

Concerning the marriages to those who are questionable and do not honor the Lord, we pray with deep concern. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman ordained by God to reflect Christ and the church, and we are warned, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, 2 Cor 6:14. Where such marriages have already taken place, we do not pray for dissolution but for divine mercy and salvation, for the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband, 1 Cor 7:14, and that the unbelieving spouse may be won without a word by the godly conduct of the believing one, 1 Pet 3:1. We pray those spouses will come to saving faith in Jesus and that each home will be turned around to honor God, with courtship and marriage pursued only among fellow believers in purity, for fornication and adultery are sin and must be repented of, 1 Cor 6:18-20, Heb 13:4.

We join you in asking for prophetic voices to warn them as watchmen, Ezek 33:7, and for true revival in their hearts, Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you, Psalm 85:6, and that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord through repentance, Acts 3:19. We thank God that you have prayed in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and through Him we have access to the Father, John 14:6.

We pray together now, Father, in Jesus' name we lift this precious family to You and ask You to wake them from slumber and pull them out of darkness and away from the path of destruction into the saving grace of Jesus. Forgive their lukewarmness and worldliness and bring them to full repentance for every error and heresy. Remove every idol from their hearts and break the power of new age deception and manipulation. Pour out a spirit of hunger and diligence to know Jesus personally and to walk in love and empathy toward others. Save the unbelieving spouses and bring restitution where the enemy has sought to hijack salvation within this family, for You have promised I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, Joel 2:25. Work creative miracles, bring godly counsel and prophetic warning around them, and let revival fire burn again in their hearts that they may live wholly for Your glory. We trust You to complete the work You have begun, for You chasten those You love, Heb 12:6, and Your mercy endures forever. In Jesus' mighty name we pray, amen.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
