We have heard your heart and we stand with you together before the Lord in Jesus name regarding your household, your family members who are acting as neighbors, and your need for financial strength and stability as you finish your education. We grieve with you over the loss of your parents and we rejoice that by Gods grace you have been able to maintain your household and pursue higher education even in that season of loss. It is painful when those who should be closest to you respond with jealousy rather than support, yet Scripture shows us this is not new.
The Lord calls us to respond differently than the world does when ill is wished upon us. We are told in Romans 12:14 to bless those who persecute you, bless and do not curse, and in Romans 12:19 not to seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to Gods wrath, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. We gently rebuke the spirit of jealousy and ill will at work in your family members, for James 3:16 tells us where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed. Wishing harm on your household is contrary to Gods command to love one another and it does not reflect His will. At the same time we are called not to return evil for evil but to overcome evil with good as Romans 12:21 teaches, and to bless those who would curse us. We also take comfort that no ill intent or word spoken against Gods people can ultimately prosper apart from His permission, for Isaiah 54:17 promises no weapon that is formed against you will prevail, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble as Psalm 46:1 says, and He is a Father of the fatherless and a defender of widows as Psalm 68:5 declares. He has seen your faithfulness after your parents passing and He sees your household now.
We also lift up your financial needs and your education. God is not against your desire to learn and to better yourself, for Proverbs 2:6 says Yahweh gives wisdom, out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding, and Colossians 3:23 reminds us whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. Your pursuit of higher education, when done with diligence and integrity, can be an act of good stewardship. We pray for stability and provision, not from a spirit of greed but from trust in His care. Philippians 4:19 assures us my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and Matthew 6:33 teaches us to seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. We encourage you to commit your plans to the Lord as Proverbs 16:3 says commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed, to be diligent, to live within your means, to work faithfully, and to trust Him to open doors to finish your studies.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for Romans 10:9 says if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name that we pray and find protection, provision, and peace.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your will together. We lift up this household to You and ask for Your covering of protection over it. Let no curse, no jealous word, no ill wish take root, and let Your peace guard this home. We ask You to work in the hearts of these family members who are neighbors, convict them of jealousy and soften their hearts, turn them from resentment to love, and bring reconciliation where possible according to Your will. Help our dear one to forgive and to bless those who have wished ill, and to not harbor bitterness. Provide financial strength and stability, open doors for provision, wisdom in stewardship, and favor to complete this education for Your glory. Grant perseverance, clarity of mind, and endurance to finish well. Let all that is done reflect Your goodness and bring honor to the memory of parents who have passed, trusting that You are the ever present help. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.
