Prayer for family and friends

Disciple of Prayer
Hi, I would like to ask for a prayer request for the new job offer. I want to pray about a beautiful new affordable home for me and my family. I also want to pray about my best friend when I go see him we can have contact visit so that we can pray together together in Jesus mighty name, thank you

We lift your heartfelt requests before the Lord with joy, knowing that He hears the cries of His children and delights in providing for their needs according to His perfect will. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. We thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again so that we might have eternal life. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

First, we pray for this new job opportunity that has been presented. Lord, we ask that You would guide and direct every step of this process. If this job is Your will for their life, we pray that You would open the doors wide and make the path clear. Grant wisdom, discernment, and favor in the eyes of those who will make this decision. May this job provide not only for their financial needs but also be a place where they can grow in faith, serve others, and bring glory to Your name. "Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed" (Proverbs 16:3). We trust that You will lead them into the work You have prepared for them, for we know that "the steps of a good person are ordered by Yahweh" (Psalm 37:23).

Next, we lift up the desire for a beautiful and affordable home. Heavenly Father, You are the provider of all good things, and we know that every perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17). We pray that You would lead them to a home that is not only a place of shelter but a sanctuary where Your presence dwells, where family can gather in love, and where hospitality can be extended to others. May this home be a testimony to Your faithfulness and provision. "Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain" (Psalm 127:1). We ask that You would go before them, preparing the way for a home that meets their needs and brings peace to their hearts.

We also bring before You the desire to visit and pray with their best friend. Father, we pray that You would make a way for this visit to happen, removing any obstacles that may stand in the way. May this time together be filled with Your presence, as iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17). We pray that their fellowship would strengthen their faith, encourage their hearts, and deepen their reliance on You. Lord, we ask that You would bind them together in unity, that they may spur one another on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24). May their prayers together rise like incense before Your throne, and may You move mightily in their lives as they seek Your face.

Lord, we also want to encourage them to continue seeking You in all things. As they trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding, we know that You will direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). May they find their joy and satisfaction in You alone, for You are the source of all blessings. We pray that they would walk in obedience to Your Word, growing in holiness and righteousness each day.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or anxiety that may try to creep into their heart. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your promises, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6).

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. May Your will be done in each of these areas, and may Your name be glorified in all things. We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Thank you for sharing these requests with us. We’re grateful to lift them up with you.

A new job offer is a meaningful step, and we pray God grants you steady peace, clarity, and favor as you settle in. We also hear your heart for a beautiful, affordable home for your family. It’s such a practical, deep need, and we join you in asking God to open the right door at the right time, providing a place of safety and rest where your family can thrive.

And what a gift that you’re planning to visit your best friend and pray together. We’ve seen in our own community how being able to pray with someone face-to-face can steady us in ways nothing else can. That time will not only bring your requests before God but will strengthen your friendship in Christ. May it be a refreshing, faith-building visit.

Father, we bring these hopes to you. Thank you for the job offer, give wisdom and peace in the work. Lead this family to a home that truly meets their needs, a place they can afford and fill with love. Bless the upcoming visit with this best friend; let their prayer together draw them closer to you and to each other. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

It is a token of grace that you have brought these desires before the throne, for the Lord is ever ready to hear the cry of His children. Your new employment and the longing for a home for your family are matters well suited to prayer. Yet remember, our Lord taught us to seek first the kingdom of God; trust Him to add these needed things, and do not let the pursuit of comfort overshadow the eternal. Let your prayer be not merely for the gift, but for grace to use it for His glory. The sweetest home is that which is dedicated to God by daily family worship; let no excuse rob your household of that holy safeguard.

You long to pray with your dear friend, and this is a noble desire. When Job interceded for his friends, the Lord turned his captivity. There is mighty prevalence in united supplication; it is a balm for many wounds. Only see that you do not restrain prayer when the moment comes, pour out your hearts with holy argument and humble boldness. Go, believing that Jesus is the Friend of sinners, and He will draw near. May the Spirit teach you the art of prayer, and may your mouth be filled with blessing as you yield all into His hands.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The desire to lift up your family and friend in prayer is good, for it shows the root of love from which such requests spring. Yet let us consider what true prayer requires. If you approach God asking for a new job and a home while any root of bitterness or worldly envy remains in your heart, you would do better to first become reconciled to your brother, and then offer your prayer. For the lifting up of hands is a sacrifice, but only when offered from a pure conscience.

You speak of a beautiful and affordable home. Give heed: when Christ comes to us daily asking for bread, do we not often ignore Him, though we live in luxury? Do not let the pursuit of comfort make you an enemy to God, for the carnal mind is enmity against Him. Instead, seek first to be a faithful steward. Remember that alms and prayers ascend together as a memorial before God, as with Cornelius. Let your request for provision be joined with a sincere resolve to use whatever is given for the relief of the hungering and the stranger.

Concerning your friend, I rejoice that you long to pray together in the mighty name of Jesus. This is the mark of a genuine friend, one of one soul, for whom we pray as fervently as for ourselves. A true friend leaves a grace of his own in every place. Yet see that you do not value this friendship merely for natural affection, but because it sharpens you in piety. When you gather, do not simply seek the comfort of company, but stir each other up to greater obedience. For we need both our own striving and God’s grace to be saved. Prayer offered together, in a spirit of humility and mutual correction, becomes an impregnable wall against temptation.

Above all, do not imagine that you can bribe heaven with words while your life remains unreformed. Practice patient endurance at home first, with your own household, learning not to be provoked to sinful anger. If you master this in the small daily trials, you will find your prayers unhindered. Ask then for these temporal things, but ask with thanksgiving and detachment, knowing that if God is your friend, no poverty can harm you, and if He is your enemy, no fine house can save you. Do not seek merely to have your requests granted, but to become a friend of the Bridegroom, rejoicing above all that His will is done.

It is right to bring your desires before the Lord, whether for a job, a home, or the simple hope of sitting with a friend to pray. The book of Job reminds us that God welcomes the honest prayers of his people. Job himself, long before his testing, rose early to pray for his children, seeking God’s blessing and protection over their lives. He understood that every good gift comes from God’s hand, and he carried his family to the Lord continually.

Your request for a new job and an affordable home touches on real needs. The same God who watched over Job’s household and gave him seasons of blessing has not changed. He still invites you to cast those cares on him. I encourage you to pray with confidence, knowing that Jesus Christ now stands as the mediator Job once longed for. Through him, you may draw near and ask boldly. At the same time, we learn from Job that God’s timing and ways often stretch beyond our understanding. He may direct your steps in ways you do not anticipate, but he remains trustworthy.

Your desire to visit your best friend and pray together is a good one. When Job’s friends first heard of his trouble, they came intending to mourn with him and comfort him. Though their words later turned sour, that initial instinct to be present and share the burden was noble. Genuine, shared prayer can strengthen both of you far more than many well-meaning conversations. So go, and as you pray together, remember that the Lord is near to all who call on him in truth.

Stand firm, then, knowing that the same God who set boundaries for the sea and laid the foundations of the earth hears your requests. Keep seeking him, and let your trust rest not on visible outcomes but on the character of the One who gave his Son for you.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heartfelt prayer requests for your family, friends, and the new season ahead. It has been our privilege to stand in faith with you for that new job opportunity, a beautiful and affordable home where your loved ones can thrive, and a sweet time of fellowship and prayer with your best friend.

If God has already moved in any of these areas—whether through an unexpected job confirmation, a door opening to the perfect home, or a powerful moment of prayer together—we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you! If things still feel uncertain or unresolved, please share your request again so we can continue lifting these needs before the Lord with fresh faith and persistence.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek His will and trust in His perfect timing. We pray that He would strengthen your heart, provide wisdom in every decision, and draw you and your loved ones closer to Him through this journey. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
