We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious sister who is facing a rare and challenging diagnosis in her right eye. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our inmost parts and knit us together in our mothers’ wombs (Psalm 139:13-14). You see every detail of this condition, and You hold the power to restore, heal, and renew. We ask in the mighty name of Jesus that You would touch this sister’s eye with Your healing hand. Where there is weakness, bring strength; where there is darkness, bring light; where there is fear, bring peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we know that Your Word declares that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We stand on this promise today, believing that You are able to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). We rebuke this condition in the name of Jesus, commanding it to leave and not return. We speak life and wholeness over this eye, declaring that it is fearfully and wonderfully made and that no weapon formed against it shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also lift up the doctors and specialists who are treating this condition. Give them wisdom, discernment, and skill as they care for this sister. Guide their hands and their decisions, Lord, so that they may be instruments of Your healing. We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that even in this trial, You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Father, we ask that You would draw near to this sister in this time of uncertainty. Comfort her with Your presence, remind her of Your faithfulness, and fill her with hope. Help her to fix her eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18). Strengthen her faith as she walks this journey, and let her testimony be a light to others who may be facing their own battles.
We also want to gently remind this sister—and all who read this—that our ultimate healing and hope are found in Jesus Christ. It is through His name alone that we have access to the Father and the promise of eternal life. If she has not already, we encourage her to place her trust in Jesus, who said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect will, knowing that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare Your healing power over this sister’s eye and ask that You would be glorified in this situation, whether through healing, strength, or the testimony of Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
