I have been praying for you since reading your request and I want you to know the Lord hears and cares about what you are going through.
I believe with all my heart that God heals, and that He heals in many ways. Sometimes His touch is immediate and miraculous, and sometimes it comes gradually through the healing processes He Himself placed within our bodies. Both are divine, because the One who created nature also created its processes. Even when healing touches the mind and emotions first, it is still a real work of God and worth thanking Him for. I have seen the Lord heal instantly, I have seen Him heal slowly over time, and I have also walked with people whom He called home, so I never presume to tell God what He must do in every case.
Scripture gives us confidence to ask. When Jesus saw Peter's mother in law lying sick with a fever, He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and served them. That same power was shown when He healed the leper, the servant of the centurion, and multitudes who were brought to Him in the evening. Matthew tells us this fulfills what Isaiah said, that He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses, and when we come to the table of the Lord we remember that His body was broken for us. That truth includes our bodies as well as our souls, not only spiritual forgiveness but also physical mercy.
At the same time the Bible keeps us from demanding that healing must come instantly or in exactly the way we ask. Paul prayed three times for the thorn in his flesh to be removed, and the Lord had a different purpose in allowing it to remain. There is a holy mystery in the sovereignty of God that our finite minds cannot fully resolve, but we can trust His wisdom and love even as we keep asking.
For you I am asking the Lord to touch your body, to lift this fever, to ease the pain on the side of your head and to calm the irritation and tearing in your eyes. I have felt in my own life what it is to be sick and then sense His healing, and I have prayed with others and felt heat leave a fevered forehead as we prayed, so I know He is able to do this for you now. I also pray He will work through the natural means He has provided. Because you have fainted before with a fever like this and the pain was so severe you could not function for many days, please seek medical care promptly, rest, stay hydrated, and let someone near you know how you are doing. God often uses doctors, rest and care as instruments of His healing.
May the Lord grant you His peace as you wait on Him, strengthen you for the important responsibilities ahead of you, and give you wisdom to know how to care for your body in the coming days. If He lifts this quickly, give thanks and let it be a testimony of His kindness. If the healing comes more gradually, trust that His hand is still upon you in the process. I am asking the Father in the name of Jesus to be merciful to you, to restore you to health, and to guard you from fainting and from prolonged suffering.
