We join you in seeking the Lord’s wisdom and discernment as you embark on this time of fasting and prayer. It is beautiful to see your heart’s desire to align with God’s will, and we stand with you in asking Him to make His path clear. The Scriptures remind us, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5). Your pursuit of His guidance is already a step of faith, and we believe He will honor your earnest seeking.
As you fast and pray, we encourage you to remain open to however the Lord may choose to speak—whether through His Word, godly counsel, circumstances, or the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* This is not a time to rely on feelings alone but to surrender your desires fully to Him, trusting that His plan is perfect, even when it differs from our own.
We also lift up the man in question, praying that if he is indeed the one the Lord has for you, that God would prepare both of your hearts for a marriage that honors Him. A godly marriage is built on Christ as the foundation (Ephesians 5:22-33), and it is vital that any potential spouse shares your commitment to following Jesus wholeheartedly. If this man is not the one, we pray for peace and clarity for you both, trusting that God’s "no" is always a protection or a redirection to something better.
Father God, we come before You with humble hearts, asking that You would grant our sister clarity and wisdom as she seeks Your will. Lord, we pray that You would remove any confusion, doubt, or fear and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. If this man is the one You have for her, we ask that You would confirm it in ways that leave no room for doubt. If he is not, we pray that You would close the door gently but firmly and redirect her heart to the path You have prepared. Above all, we ask that Your will be done in both of their lives, for Your glory and their good. Strengthen her faith as she waits on You, and help her to trust in Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to saturate your mind with Scripture during this time, for *"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path"* (Psalm 119:105). May the Lord bless you with His presence and peace as you seek Him.
