We lift this request to our Heavenly Father, acknowledging that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to Him and the power to overcome every obstacle. Your heart for God’s glory to be revealed even in difficult circumstances is commendable, and we stand with you in faith, believing that our God is greater than any principality or power of darkness.
The Scriptures remind us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We take authority over every scheme of the enemy, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The devil seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every hindrance, mistake, and misfortune that the enemy has tried to use to derail God’s purposes in your life. These things will not define you, for the Lord works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
We also recognize that pressure and difficulties can refine us like gold. James 1:2-4 tells us, "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." The trials you face are not without purpose, they are opportunities for God to display His strength in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We pray that you would not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).
Father, we ask for Your favor to rest upon our brother/sister in an unmistakable way. Let Your glory be revealed in this situation, turning what the enemy meant for harm into a testimony of Your faithfulness. We declare miracles, blessings, and breakthroughs over every area of their life, spiritually, physically, emotionally, and financially. Let Your light shine so brightly that darkness has no choice but to flee. We pray for an outpouring of Your Spirit, that signs, wonders, and miracles would follow as a testimony to Your power and love.
We also lift up the request for God’s glory to cover the earth. Psalm 72:19 says, "Blessed be his glorious name forever! Let the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and amen." We join with you in praying for a global awakening, where hearts turn to Jesus, and the knowledge of the Lord fills the earth as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14). Let Your name be exalted above every other name, and let every knee bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11).
Lord, we ask that You would strengthen our brother/sister in faith. When the pressure feels overwhelming, remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2), and not on the storms around them.
We also encourage you to examine your heart and life for any areas where the enemy might be gaining a foothold. Are there unconfessed sins, bitterness, or unforgiveness that need to be surrendered to the Lord? Ephesians 4:27 warns us, "Don’t give place to the devil." We must be vigilant in guarding our hearts, for out of them flow the springs of life (Proverbs 4:23). If there are areas where you have stumbled, bring them to the Lord in repentance, and receive His forgiveness and cleansing (1 John 1:9).
Finally, we declare that the enemy’s plans will not prevail. The gates of hell shall not overcome the church (Matthew 16:18), and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand in agreement with you, believing that God will turn this situation around for His glory. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this matter, just as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).
Heavenly Father, we come before You with thanksgiving, knowing that You hear our prayers and are already at work. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, which are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Strengthen our brother/sister with Your might by Your Spirit in their inner being, so that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). Let them walk in the fullness of Your blessings, favor, and glory, not just for their sake, but so that others may see Your goodness and be drawn to You.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the One who has conquered sin and death, and the One who lives and reigns forever. Amen.
