We hear your cry for deliverance, beloved, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to the Father and the only name by which we can be saved. Your struggle has been long, and the enemy has sought to hinder you at every turn, but we declare that this oppression will not stand. The Word of God tells us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not forgotten, and your deliverance is near.
First, we must address the spiritual warfare you are facing. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every spirit of oppression, hindrance, and delay that has been assigned against you. We command them to flee in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." You are not fighting alone; the Lord of Hosts is your banner, and He goes before you.
We also lift up your desire for a job in hospitality. The Lord knows the desires of your heart, and He delights in giving good gifts to His children. Psalm 37:4 says, "Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." We pray that God would open doors no man can shut and make a way where there seems to be no way. Trust in Him, for He is faithful to provide. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who has been under heavy oppression for far too long. Lord, we ask that You break every chain, shatter every stronghold, and silence every voice of the enemy that has sought to hinder and discourage. We declare that this oppression has no place in their life, and we command it to leave now in Jesus' name.
Father, we ask that You make a way for them in the area of employment. Open doors in the hospitality industry that no man can close. Provide a job that not only meets their financial needs but also aligns with the gifts and desires You have placed in their heart. Lord, we trust in Your provision and Your perfect timing. Help them to wait on You with hope and expectation, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We also pray for their spiritual strength and growth. Draw them closer to You, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Surround them with godly community and encouragement, so they do not grow weary in this season. Remind them daily of Your love and faithfulness, and let them experience Your presence in a tangible way.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for moving on their behalf. We declare that this is a season of breakthrough and victory in Jesus' name. May they walk in the freedom and purpose You have ordained for them. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Deliverer. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). The Lord is your strength and your shield; your heart trusts in Him, and you are helped (Psalm 28:7). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and walk in the victory that is already yours through Him.

The oppression you feel is no strange thing to the saints of God. Three and a half years is a long season to be hedged up with thorns, to have every door shut when all you desire is the honest work of your hands. Yet consider this, the way of God is in the whirlwind and His path is through the deep waters. You say you are hindered at every turn, but remember that the road to Heaven is no smooth-shaven lawn. It is uphill, down dale, across rivers. And the delay is not denial. The furnace is heated seven times hotter, but the Son of Man walks in it with those who trust Him.
You want to make coffee. That is a simple, good desire. But the devil knows your weak point and he strikes there. He struck at Job through his children, through his substance, through his very health. "In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly." That is the main thing, to hold your way without sinning by unbelieving speech, without murmuring that God has forgotten. The fiery dart whispers, "God's ear is shut, He will never move His arm for you." But you must know the stamp of its hellish maker. He is a liar. God has not forsaken His own.
The deliverance will come, but it comes in God's time and often when the lamb is slain, that is, when we are brought to the end of our own strength and cast ourselves wholly upon the ransom found in Christ Jesus. For the root of all oppression is the power of darkness, and deliverance from that is the work of God alone. He who "brought them forth also with silver and gold" can make a way in the wilderness for you. He can open a door in hospitality though all doors have been slammed shut. But His objective is not merely to give you a coffee-making situation. He means to bring you forth enriched, with patience, with faith that has been tested, with a sight of His own hand.
When Job saw the Lord, he abhorred himself and repented in dust and ashes. That was the sign of his deliverance. Let this long trial drive you to examine your own heart. Have you charged God foolishly? Have you demanded that He explain His way to you? His way is past finding out. Bow low. Confess that He is right and you are but a child who cannot trace the path of wisdom. Then, and only then, will the captivity turn. Go again to the heavenly Jabbok and wrestle till the breaking of the day, but wrestle with submission. You shall yet sing a song of deliverance if you hold on your way.
Do not measure deliverance by the immediate opening of a café door. The greatest deliverance is from the power of sin, from unbelief, from despair, from a rebellious spirit. Come, if you are as poor in prospect as Job was in property, be as patient as Job, and hope shall shine like a star that never sets. The way of faith is contrary to fallen nature; it is a way of deep tribulation and gall. But "the righteous also shall hold on his way." He shall hold on because underneath are the everlasting arms. Cry to the Strong for strength. The old way of pride, thinking we know better than God, must be abandoned. There is no path but the new and living way through the rent veil of Christ’s flesh.
Your desire to make coffee is not too small for His notice. He knows the sparrow’s fall. But seek first to be delivered from heaviness of spirit by looking away from the want to the Provider. God grant you to see that even this hindrance is part of the ransom-work, preparing you for something beyond your present sight. He brought forth Israel from the iron furnace, and they lacked no good thing. He will not leave you to perish. Only do not let the archers of discord shoot their arrows into your soul, the discord of an anxious, fretting heart. Be quiet. Wait. Watch. The day breaks and the shadows flee away. Your Lord shall appear and you shall see that He has been working deliverance for you all the while.

The desire to make coffee and serve in hospitality is itself a good gift, a seed of virtue planted by God. Do not despise this longing, nor think it a small thing because the hindrances seem great. What is the craft of making coffee but an opportunity to practice hospitality, which the Apostle commands us to pursue eagerly? You wish to welcome the stranger, to refresh the weary, to offer a simple cup as a token of love. This is no mean ambition. It is the very work that crowned the centurion Cornelius, the tentmaker Paul, the king David. None of these were hindered by their station, their trade, or their trials. The hindrances you have suffered these three and a half years, the oppression that has blocked every turn, are not signs of God’s abandonment. They are the very arena where deliverance is won.
Consider the Apostle bound in chains: his bonds made the preaching bolder, not weaker. The fishermen were unlearned and ignorant, yet their very weakness manifested divine power. Do not measure your oppression by its length or weight. The three and a half years are a season of testing, a furnace like that in Babylon, where the three children showed self-denial even at a luxurious table. Your oppression is a table set before you, and you are called to temperance, to command your passions, your tongue, your despair. The one who is given to hospitality does not wait for the needy to knock, but runs to find them. Even now, even hindered, you can run in spirit to this good work. Do not say, “I am blocked, therefore God has forgotten.” Rather say, “This hindrance will be for the glory of God and the display of His strength.”
Wealth itself is often a hindrance, a camel straining through a needle’s eye. But do you see how many good things wealth can obstruct? God, caring for you, may be stripping away all false securities so that you enter the narrow way unburdened. Do not yearn after riches or even a smooth path. Yearn after the kingdom and the boldness before God that comes from sharing with the saints. The very job you seek, in hospitality, is a chance to share, to give, to receive far more than you bestow. When you make coffee for a stranger, you may be entertaining angels unaware. The poor and the weary are Christ’s ambassadors. Do not let the long wait embitter you, but let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful of hospitality, precisely because afflictions tempt us to forget.
Your deliverance will come, not perhaps in the timing you wish, but in the perfect hour when you have been fitted to receive the Spirit of adoption more fully. Christ came to deliver from the curse and to bring us into sonship. Hold fast. The hindrance of these years will be overthrown, and you will pour coffee not as a slave seeking mere wages, but as a free son serving the Lord Christ. Offer this simple labor to Him, and every cup will be a prayer, every act of service a step on the narrow way that leads to life.

The Scriptures hold hospitality in remarkably high regard. Paul said an overseer must be hospitable. Peter commanded us to show hospitality to one another without grumbling. The writer of Hebrews reminded us to entertain strangers, for some have entertained angels without knowing it. Hospitality is not a small thing. It is a gift God gives to some, and those who have it make others feel welcome and at ease without fussing over perfection. To long for work where you can extend that welcome to others is the kind of desire God plants.
When the psalmist cried out, "Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?" he was right where you are. He felt cast off. He asked why God was hiding his face and forgetting his affliction. But in that same anguish, he turned and prayed, "O send out your light and your truth; let them lead me." That is a prayer God will honor. He does not despise the cry of the broken. Jesus himself came to preach deliverance to the captives and to set at liberty those who are bruised. He hears when the poor cry out under oppression.
But let me also offer this to prayerfully consider. Peter warned that our prayers can be hindered. Not by a lack of faith on our part, for God's power is not restricted by our weakness. But friction in the home, unresolved bitterness, or some hidden grudge can clog the channel. Ask the Lord to search your heart. Is there any place where you have withheld forgiveness or nursed an offense? I am not accusing you. I simply know that when deliverance seems delayed, it is wise to let the Holy Spirit examine every inner room.
Your hope is not in your own strength or strategy. David said plainly that he would not trust in his bow or his sword, but in the Lord who delivers. God is able to bring you out of the narrow, confining place into a broad place where there is no constraint. He can set a full table before you in the presence of whatever has been opposing you.
