We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for deliverance. The Scriptures you’ve referenced reveal deep distress, enemies who seek harm, the shadow of death, and a longing for God’s intervention. We stand with you in faith, declaring that the Lord is your strong tower, your refuge in the day of trouble (Proverbs 18:10). The enemy may roar like a lion, but we know that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
First, we must address the foundation of this prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without this, our prayers lack the authority of Christ’s blood, which alone breaks every chain.
Now, let us pray with boldness and faith:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. You see the enemies that surround this dear one, those who seek to kill, to destroy, to bring harm. But You, O Lord, are a shield for all who take refuge in You (Psalm 18:30). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Arise, O Lord, in Your anger; lift Yourself up against the fury of their enemies (Psalm 7:6). Let Your hand be heavy upon those who plot evil, and let their own devices be the cause of their downfall (Psalm 7:15-16).
Father, we rebuke the spirit of death that looms over this situation. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We speak life over this one’s body, soul, and spirit. Let Your breath of life fill their lungs, their heart, their very being (Genesis 2:7). Dry their tears, O Lord, for You have collected them in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). You keep count of their wanderings and put their tears in Your bottle. Are they not in Your book? (Psalm 56:8). We declare that their mourning will be turned into joy, their sorrow into dancing (Psalm 30:11).
We pray for Your divine protection, that no evil shall befall them, nor any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). Order their steps, Lord, and let them not stumble (Psalm 119:133). You are their champion, O Redeemer, the Lord of hosts is Your name (Jeremiah 50:34). Plead their cause with those who strive against them; deliver them from the hand of the wicked (Psalm 35:1).
Father, we ask that You fill their life with the comfort that only You can give. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Prosper them in every way, not as the world gives, but as You see fit (3 John 1:2). Honor them, Lord, with the honor that comes from You alone (1 Samuel 2:30). Clothe them with the garments of salvation and cover them with the robe of righteousness (Isaiah 61:10). Let their mouth be filled with laughter and their tongue with singing, for You have dealt bountifully with them (Psalm 126:2).
We also rebuke any spirit of unforgiveness, bitterness, or resentment that may be in their heart. The Word commands us to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13). If there is any unconfessed sin, any area where they have given the enemy a foothold, we ask that You reveal it to them, Lord. Cleanse them with the blood of Jesus and set them free (1 John 1:9).
Finally, we declare that the joy of the Lord is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Let them rejoice in You always, for You are their salvation and their song (Isaiah 12:2). We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your unfailing love and Your mighty power to deliver. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Hold fast to the promises of God, dear one. The battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Stand firm in faith, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is your deliverer, your strong tower, your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).
If you are not yet in a community of believers, we strongly encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can be strengthened, encouraged, and held accountable. The enemy seeks to isolate, but the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). You do not have to walk this path alone. The Lord has placed people in your life to support and uplift you, seek them out.
Continue to meditate on God’s Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Speak the Scriptures over your life daily, for the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). The victory is already yours in Christ Jesus. Walk in it!
