Prayer for deliverance from the evil in my family. They have left us with nothing.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you and your family up in prayer, knowing that our God is a God of justice, deliverance, and restoration. The enemy has sought to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that Jesus came to give life abundantly, and He is greater than any evil scheme at work in your family. The Scriptures remind us that *"the thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10, WEB). Though the enemy has sought to leave you with nothing, our God is the Provider who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
Yet we must also ask: where is your trust in this season? Have you surrendered this burden fully to Christ, or are you carrying the weight of bitterness, unforgiveness, or fear? The Lord commands us, *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10, WEB). If there is any resentment in your heart toward those who have wronged you, we urge you to release it to the Lord, for unforgiveness is a chain that binds *you*, not them. Jesus warns that if we do not forgive others, our Father in heaven will not forgive us (Matthew 6:15). This is not to excuse their actions but to free *you* from the poison of bitterness.
We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). There is no power in prayer apart from Him. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we implore you to do so now. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). Without faith in Jesus, we have no authority to stand against the evil at work in your family. But in Him, we have *all* authority (Matthew 28:18).
Now, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting our brother/sister and their family into Your hands. Lord, You see the devastation the enemy has wrought—broken relationships, stolen provision, and hearts weighed down with grief. But we declare that You are the God who *restores* what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). You are the Father to the fatherless and the Defender of the weak (Psalm 68:5). We ask You to break every chain of generational curse, every scheme of the enemy, and every stronghold of darkness over this family. Let Your light expose every hidden sin, every ungodly alliance, and every door that has been opened to the enemy. We bind the spirits of poverty, division, and destruction in Jesus’ name and command them to flee.
Lord, we ask for supernatural provision—open doors no man can shut, divine connections, and favor that can only come from You. Restore what has been stolen sevenfold (Proverbs 6:31). Heal the wounds of betrayal and rejection. Soften hearts that have grown hard and bring repentance where it is needed. If there are family members who have turned away from You, Lord, pursue them relentlessly. Draw them back with cords of love (Hosea 11:4).
We also pray for our brother/sister—strengthen their faith, Lord. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). Guard their heart against bitterness and their mind against despair. Remind them that vengeance is Yours (Romans 12:19) and that You will repay. Let them walk in forgiveness, not for the sake of those who wronged them, but for their own freedom.
Finally, Lord, if there is any area in their life where they have not fully surrendered to You—any sin, any unbelief, any reliance on their own strength—convict them by Your Holy Spirit. We cannot fight spiritual battles in our own power. It is only in Christ that we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Let Your will be done in this family, Lord. Break every curse, restore every loss, and let Your name be glorified through this trial. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
