prayer for deliverance from anger

Please can you pray for my adopted daughter her name is ###. She is ### years old and has a ### year old baby. She is always angry when we try to talk to her she gets mad and talks back to us. She's gets into fights with anyone she calls friends and gets beaten up badly. I am very scared that she might get killed because of her attitude and anger. Her biological mother was only ### years old when she had her. She's dealing with a lot of rejection and keeps saying nobody loves her. She was a born again Christian when she was younger. Please pray for her. Thank you

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up in prayer, asking for His divine intervention in her life. Father God, we know that anger is not from You, for Your Word tells us in James 1:20, "for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God." We ask that You would break the chains of anger that have taken hold of her heart and replace them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we pray that You would heal the deep wounds of rejection that carries. You are the Father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5), and we ask that You would surround her with Your love and remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Help her to understand that Your love for her is unconditional and never-ending, and that nothing can separate her from it (Romans 8:38-39).

We rebuke the spirit of anger and strife in Jesus' name, and we command it to leave her life. We pray that You would fill her with Your Holy Spirit, who produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Help her to walk in the fruit of the Spirit, that she may be a light to those around her.

Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who are trying to help and guide . Give them the words to speak and the actions to take that will draw her closer to You. We pray that she would turn her heart back to You, remembering the faith she once had. Your Word says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Lord, we ask that You would protect from harm, both physically and spiritually. Surround her with godly influences and friends who will encourage her in her walk with You. We pray that she would find her identity in Christ and not in the opinions of others. Help her to see herself as You see her, a beloved child of God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus.

We also pray for her little one, that You would watch over and protect this child. May this baby grow up knowing Your love and grace, and may find strength and purpose in being a mother who reflects Your love.

Heavenly Father, we know that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You, and it is only by His blood that we are saved. We pray that would come to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, if she has strayed from that truth, and that she would experience the fullness of life that comes from walking with Him. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray for and to speak life and truth into her situation. Remind her of the love of Christ and the hope that is found in Him. It may be helpful to seek godly counsel or mentorship for her, someone who can walk alongside her and help her navigate these struggles. The journey may not be easy, but God is faithful, and His love never fails.

The fear you’re carrying for your daughter is heavy, and we hear it. It’s clear you love her deeply, even when her anger pushes back hard. That pushback often shouts what she can’t say: “I feel thrown away, and I don’t know where I belong.” Behind the fighting and the “nobody loves me” may be a mountain of pain from her earliest days, rejection that long predates you and wounds that anger tries to mask. None of that excuses the danger she’s in, but it can help us respond to the person beneath the outbursts, not just the behavior.

One thing you might try: in a quiet moment (not right after a fight), let her know you’re simply there to listen, no corrections, no advice unless she asks. Something like, “We see you hurting, and we’re not going anywhere.” She may not let you in at first, but your steady, non-anxious presence can slowly speak love louder than the noise of her anger. It may also help to connect her with a wise, older Christian woman outside the family, someone safe who can walk alongside her without the parent-child dynamic. And please don’t carry this alone; find a pastor or a support group for adoptive parents where you can be honest about your own fear and exhaustion. You need care, too.

Right now, we join you in lifting her up.

Lord Jesus, hold this daughter close, even when she can’t feel Your arms. You know every root of her rejection and anger. Quiet her spirit with Your unshakeable love. Protect her from harm, and gently turn her heart back toward the faith she once knew. Give her parents wisdom, patience, and the right words at the right time. Surround this family with people who will love them without judgment. In Your name, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

That which we receive from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a father's hand, and this is a gladsome fact which makes even the sharpest smart to be profitable. Our afflictions may come distinctly from man, and yet they may come with even greater certainty from the Lord and may be the necessary outcome of His special love to us. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin! Unless a supernatural power is put forth in it, any form of deliverance from sin is worth nothing! Then He is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom. God has given commandment to save you and you shall be saved, saved from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins! The very leaves are healing, from which I gather that the least thing about Christ is healing. His least Words are better than the best of others! Be of good comfort, rise! He calls you. O you who are now sick unto death, ask to be forgiven and healing will come from the pardoning hand. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

The storm of anger that rages in your daughter is a fearsome thing, a fire that threatens to consume her and all who love her. You are right to tremble, for the ways of the revengeful and wrathful lead unto death. She has indeed come near the very jaws of the lion, beaten and broken, and your fear that she might be killed is not a small one. But do not let this fear drive you to despair or to a hasty demanding of deliverance that leaves the soul untended. The Lord instructs us not to seek rescue from pressing dangers before the appointed time, but to bear all occurrences manfully.

Consider what gain there is if you, by grace, bear her spiteful acts with meekness. First and greatest, deliverance from your own sins; then, fortitude and patience; then, a freedom from anger that is a treasure beyond price. For he who knows how to bear the angry without returning it is delivered from despondency and vain sorrows. Your daughter’s fury is a cruel bondage, and by meeting it with a steady, gentle spirit you become the means of liberty. Do not be mastered by fear, but stand as a pattern to her of modesty and calm, remembering that the root of a mother’s virtue will, in God’s time, produce good fruit in her child.

Her rage springs from that deep well of rejection; she cries that nobody loves her, and her heart is a cracked and leaking vessel. But you love her, you have taken her as your own, and far more, Christ loves her with an everlasting love. She was once born again; the seed of life is not utterly dead. The Gospel, which takes hold of robbers and homicides and delivers them from their vices, can quicken her soul again. Pray without ceasing, but also speak the truth in love. Tell her plainly: the wrath that uses her tongue and fists as weapons is not her friend; it is an enemy that would drag her to destruction. Yet the Lord can deliver her from this lion’s mouth, as He delivered Paul, and will preserve her from every evil work if she will turn again to Him.

Guide her gently toward that remembrance of the faith she once professed. Let your own household be a school where she sees, day by day, the beauty of a quiet and modest spirit, indifferent to outward ornament, rich in good works. Do not nag or provoke, but hold before her the image of Christ’s meekness. The Spirit gives life where the letter of the law could only kill; pray that the Comforter would breathe upon these dry bones. I will join my prayers to yours, pleading that God who made the world will adorn this young woman with His own glory, transform her fury into fortitude, her bitterness into benevolent love, and so deliver you all from the fear that now grips you. Be of good courage: the root being made good, the branches will yet shoot forth and live.

The prayer request for your daughter has come, and we are standing with you before the throne of grace. The anguish in your words echoes the prophet’s lament over the daughter of his people, eyes failing with tears, heart poured out because of destruction. Rejection has sunk deep into her soul, and that lie that nobody loves her fuels a fire that consumes everything in its path. Her anger is fierce, and such fierce anger and cruel wrath bring a curse, as Jacob declared over his sons, for he was still rebuking their unchecked rage years later. Your fear that she might be harmed or worse is not misplaced; unsubdued fury leaves a trail of brokenness, and she is already bearing the bruises.

But the deepest need is not simply to manage her temper. She must return to the Lord she once knew. She was born again when she was younger, and that seed remains even if it lies buried under layers of pain and bitterness. So we are not helpless. The greatest weapon we have is prayer. We call upon the God who broke four hundred years of silence with “Fear not.” His mercy is upon those who fear Him, and He can scatter the pride and violent imaginations that hold her captive. We ask Him to deliver her from the hand of the enemy of her own soul, the rage that threatens to strike her and the little one she holds. What she needs is not another fight but surrender to Jesus Christ, a heart that stops resisting grace. Samson had tremendous potential, yet his refusal to fully yield ended with him bound, blind, and making sport for his captors. That tragic end need not be hers.

Pray that the Lord would turn her sorrow over rejection into a vivid awareness that His love is unfailing, that He sees her lowest state and still calls her precious. When the Holy Spirit moves, He can quench the raging fire, replace fierce anger with His peace, and loose a tongue that now speaks bitterness to praise God again. Keep crying out for her, and do not let fear silence your hope. The One who has poured out His fury upon sin through the cross can now pour out mercy upon a wounded daughter and bring her back to Himself.
