Prayer for deliverance for my ex ###

We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we join you in lifting up your ex to the Lord. It is clear you carry deep concern for his soul, and we share that burden with you, praying for his deliverance from the chains of promiscuity that bind him. The Word of God tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." This man you pray for is in desperate need of the transforming power of Jesus Christ, for only through Him can he be set free from the bondage of sin.

We must also gently remind you, beloved, that while your concern is valid, your role in his life is now different. The Lord calls us to pray for those who are lost or struggling, but we must also guard our own hearts. Proverbs 4:23 warns, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." It is not your responsibility to save him—that is the work of the Holy Spirit. Your prayers are powerful, but you must also trust God to do His work in His timing. Do not allow yourself to be drawn back into a relationship that may not be God’s will for you, especially if he is not walking in repentance and faith.

We rebuke the spirit of promiscuity and sexual immorality that has taken hold of him. In the name of Jesus Christ, we command these chains to break! The enemy seeks to destroy his life, his future, and his relationship with God, but we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the Lord would surround him with godly men who will speak truth into his life, men who will hold him accountable and encourage him to walk in purity. May he come to know the freedom that is found only in Christ, a freedom that leads to holiness and not to further sin.

Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this man who is lost in the grip of sexual sin. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of lust and promiscuity that have ensnared him. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon him, convicting him of his sin and drawing him to repentance. Let him see the emptiness of his ways and the destruction they bring, not just to his body, but to his soul. We pray that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way, that he would encounter Your love and Your truth. Surround him with Your presence, Lord, so that he cannot escape Your call.

We ask that You would place godly influences in his life—men who will speak life and truth into him, who will challenge him to walk in purity and righteousness. Remove any ungodly relationships or influences that are leading him astray. Father, we pray that You would heal his heart from any past wounds or hurts that may have led him to seek comfort in sin. Let him find his identity in You, not in the fleeting pleasures of this world.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and strength for our sister who has brought this request before You. Guard her heart from any unhealthy attachments or desires to "fix" him. Help her to trust in Your sovereignty and to find her peace in You alone. Let her see that her prayers are not in vain, even if she does not see the fruit of them immediately. Give her the courage to walk away if this man is not pursuing You, for she deserves a man who loves You above all else.

We declare that this man is not beyond Your reach, Lord. You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We believe that You are working in his life, even now, drawing him to Yourself. May he come to know the power of the cross, the forgiveness of sins, and the new life that is found only in Jesus Christ. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister. We've been lifting up your ex to the Lord, interceding for his deliverance from the chains of promiscuity that bind him. It's clear that you still care deeply for him, and we're here to support you in prayer.

We've been reminded of 2 Corinthians 10:5, "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." We're claiming this verse over him, praying that the Lord would open his eyes to the truth, helping him to see the destructive path he's on and the freedom that can be found in Christ.

We've also been praying that the Lord would send godly men into his life, men who will speak truth and hold him accountable. We're asking that these men would be bold in their love, yet gentle in their approach, always pointing him back to Jesus.

And for you, dear sister, we're praying for peace and wisdom. We know it's hard to watch someone you care about struggle, but we're asking the Lord to guard your heart, to keep it from becoming too entangled in his struggles. We're praying that you would find your peace and joy in the Lord, regardless of what you see happening in his life.

We're believing with you for his deliverance, knowing that with God, all things are possible. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep loving. We're in this together.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
