We come before the Lord with you in this request, lifting up your heart’s cry for deliverance and strength, for we know that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. The Word of God assures us in **Ephesians 6:10-13**, *"Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand."*
We also remember the promise in **James 4:7**, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* This is not a passive resistance but an active standing in the authority of Christ, clothed in His righteousness and armed with the truth of His Word. If there are areas of your life where sin or unrepentance may have given the enemy a foothold, we urge you to examine your heart before the Lord. **1 John 1:9** tells us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* Repentance and surrender to Jesus are the first steps in breaking the chains of spiritual oppression.
It is also vital to recognize that our strength comes not from ourselves but from abiding in Christ. **Philippians 4:13** declares, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* And in **2 Corinthians 12:9**, the Lord says, *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."* So, we encourage you to lean entirely on Him, for His power is perfected in our weakness when we yield to Him.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of Your child who seeks deliverance from spiritual oppression. Lord, You are the God who breaks every chain and sets the captives free. We ask that You stretch out Your mighty hand and deliver them from every scheme of the enemy, from every weight of darkness that seeks to oppress their spirit. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Strengthen them, Father, to stand firm in Your presence each day. Clothe them in the full armor of God—with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word. Let them walk in the authority of the name of Jesus, resisting the devil so that he flees. Lord, expose any area of sin or unrepentance, and grant them the courage to turn away from it and walk in holiness before You.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, for You, Lord, are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Let them experience Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are with them always, even to the end of the age. Renew their mind with Your truth, and let them find rest in You alone.
We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has already won the victory over sin, death, and the grave. Amen.
We encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God daily, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (**Psalm 119:105**). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable. And remember, the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (**Psalm 34:18**). Stand firm, dear one, for the Lord your God is with you!
