Prayer for Daniel

We lift up Daniel and his mother Ree with heavy hearts, knowing the battle against addiction is fierce and the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. But we declare that Jesus came so that Daniel may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We rebuke the spirit of addiction and hopelessness in Jesus’ mighty name, it has no place in Daniel’s life, for he is a child of the Most High God.
Father, we ask You to break every chain of bondage in Daniel’s life. Strengthen his resolve to walk in purity and sobriety, reminding him that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). Surround him with godly influences, accountability, and a hunger for Your Word. Let him feel Your presence in a tangible way, Lord, so he knows he is never alone in this fight. We pray for divine intervention, open doors to biblical recovery programs, Christian counselors, and a community of believers who will stand with him.
For Ree, we ask for an outpouring of Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen her faith as she watches her son struggle, and remind her that You are the God who sees and hears her cries. Give her wisdom to know how to support Daniel without enabling him, and fill her with hope as she trusts in Your promises. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).
We also address the spiritual warfare at play here. The thief comes only to steal and destroy, but Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33). We stand in the authority of Christ, declaring that Daniel’s mind is renewed by Your Word, his heart is guarded by Your peace, and his steps are ordered by You. We pray for a hedge of protection around him, that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, if Daniel or Ree have not fully surrendered their lives to You, we pray they would confess Jesus as Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May they experience the transformative power of Your love and grace.
We trust You, Father, to restore what has been lost and to bring beauty from ashes (Isaiah 61:3). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
