Prayer for confidence and being on time or early

Thank you for sharing so honestly what is on your heart. Your desire to honor the Lord in how you steward time, care for your mother, protect healthy boundaries, and grow as a woman of God is clear, and it is right to bring all of these things to Jesus in prayer.

For your coming and going with your mother, it is good to ask the Lord for strength, wisdom to prepare ahead, and practical help. Sometimes we limit God without realizing it, as Israel did when they put restrictions on what they believed He could do. We pray small and expect small, when God is able to do far more than we ask. So bring your specific needs to Him, for energy for each day, for grace to be early and unhurried even when health slows you down, and for provision of the right person to help you organize your week. He sees your willingness to work and to pay for help, and He can open that door in His way and time. Ask Him also to help you make the most of the time He has given you, using it gratefully to serve Him, to care for what He has entrusted to you, and to serve His people. That kind of faithful stewardship pleases Him.

Regarding the man who has been approaching and touching you in ways that make you uncomfortable, you are right to recognize this and to plan to speak clearly. Fear that keeps us silent is not from God, for God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind. The fear we are called to have is a reverent fear of God, which gives us courage to do what is right. Jesus often said to His followers and to Paul when he was discouraged, take courage, be of good cheer, be of good courage, I am with you. The Lord did not condemn Paul in his discouragement, He acknowledged his faithful witness and then strengthened him for what was next. He will do the same for you as you step out in obedience.

It is important to understand the difference between touches. The Gospels tell us crowds pressed around Jesus, many were close to Him physically, but one woman reached out in faith and was healed. Closeness alone is not the same as a touch that is invited and done in faith and love. In the same way, an unwanted touch that crosses a personal boundary is not neutral. Scripture teaches that our bodies matter to God and that love builds up while mere knowledge or assertion puffs up. To speak up with clear, calm, and loving words is not unkind, it is loving. It protects you, it tells the truth, and it gives the other person a clear opportunity to respect what is right.

You described it well. When a boundary is crossed, it needs to be named plainly, with a clear request to stop and with a clear and healthy consequence if it continues, such as stepping away, ending the conversation, and seeking help from others if needed. You do not need to wait until you feel more comfortable to do this. Avoidance alone will not teach him where the line is. God can give you words and steadiness in the moment, even while you are trembling.

Your heart for others who struggle to speak up, and especially for children, is also from the Lord. You are right that we are to protect children and teach them how to say no to inappropriate behavior and to report it to a safe adult. Being a good example means modeling that courage ourselves, showing that we respect ourselves and others as those made in God's image, and that we will seek help when needed.

I pray for you and your mother now, that the Lord would give you renewed strength for each day, wisdom to prepare ahead, and mercy as you have shown mercy to others. I pray He would provide the practical help you need to bring order to your week. I pray He would fill you with courage to speak truth in love the next time you feel uncomfortable, to set a clear boundary and to follow through with wise consequences, and to keep yourself safe, including involving other trusted people if the behavior does not stop. I pray He would continue to shape you as a vessel of honor, set apart for His purposes, growing in grace and truth as you follow Jesus and prepare for the future He has for you, whether that includes marriage to a godly man or other service to His kingdom. May He show you any area where change is needed, give you grace to repent, and guide you daily as you seek to do what is right for His glory.

Keep bringing every need to Jesus, trusting not in your own strength to be confident or on time, but in His presence with you. He hears, He cares, and He will help you walk in wisdom and purity one step at a time.
