Prayer for confidence and being on time or early

Disciple of Prayer
Lord, please help my mom and I to be more on time or early as we are moving slower due to her health issues. We have so much to do and so little time. Thank you, as we have mercy on others that you and others have mercy on us Lord. Please give us that extra energy and boost in our comings and goings. And to prep more ahead. That would help us. That even if you can send a good person that would help us organize weekly. We’d be willing to pay. And Lord please help me with ###, I need to speak up to him and tell him to stop approaching me and touching me. I feel very uncomfortable and he needs to know that. But, he won’t know if I don’t speak up for myself as a woman of God and just keep trying to avoid him. I must speak up anytime I’m uncomfortable and let people know with proper effective communication that these are my needs and here are the healthy and right consequences if someone keeps crossing a boundary. I pray for others in Jesus name that struggle with this same issue. I’m sure lots of women, men and children don’t speak up for themselves, but that’s not from God to have fear. We should fear God Respectfully. And probably putting children in that category doesn’t match? Because we are supposed to protect them and speak up for them and teach them how to tell someone “no” and to report someone with inappropriate behavior. So, please help us to be better examples. Please help us to make the best of our time that we have on earth serving you Lord Jesus and your people and taking care of and being grateful for what we do have. Continue to help shape me to be the woman of God and future wife that you need me to be for a future husband that’s a Man of God. Thank you, for all that you do for us Lord. Please show us the error of our ways . May I repent and continue to seek guidance in you to do what’s right for your kingdom and I ask the same for those who know you and don’t know you.

We join you in bringing these needs before the Lord and we thank you for your honest and thoughtful heart in seeking to honor Him in all these areas.

We hear your burden about time and your mother's health. It is a loving and honoring thing to care for your mother as she moves more slowly, and we pray the Lord gives you both grace and strength for each day. We understand the pressure of having so much to do and so little time, and we ask God to help you steward your time well for His glory. As it is written, Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16. We also remember His promise that He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Isaiah 40:29 and that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1.

We pray together for you and your mother. Father in Jesus name we lift up this daughter and her mother to You. Thank You for their desire to be on time and to show mercy to others as You have shown mercy to them. Lord grant them extra energy and renewed strength in their comings and goings, help them to prepare ahead and to use their time wisely. Provide wisdom for weekly organization and if it is Your will, send a trustworthy and capable person to help them organize each week, even as they are willing to provide for that help. Let their time on earth be spent serving You, caring for what You have entrusted to them, and giving thanks with grateful hearts. Teach them to do all things as unto You. Colossians 3:23.

We also join you in prayer for confidence and for the situation with the man who is approaching and touching you in a way that makes you uncomfortable. We affirm what you have discerned, that you must speak up. God has given you dignity as a woman created in His image, and your body is not your own to be handled by others without permission. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. It is right and biblical to set clear boundaries with proper and effective communication and to state healthy and right consequences if those boundaries are crossed. Avoidance alone will not teach him or protect you, and the Lord does not want you to live in fear of man.

We pray for courage for you. For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7. We ask in Jesus name that the Lord fill you with that power and love and self-control, that you may speak clearly and firmly the next time you are uncomfortable, telling him to stop approaching and touching you and that this behavior is not welcome. Give you words that are gracious yet firm, and give him ears to hear and to respect what you say. Protect you from any retaliation and give you wisdom to involve other trusted people or authorities if he does not honor your boundary. We also pray for others who struggle with the same fear to speak up, that You would strengthen them as well.

You are wise to note that children must be protected and taught differently. We agree that we as adults must speak up for children and teach them how to say no and how to report inappropriate behavior to a safe adult. The Lord calls us to defend the vulnerable, and your desire to be a better example in this is pleasing to Him.

We rejoice with you as you ask the Lord to shape you into the woman of God and future wife He desires you to be for a future husband who is a man of God. That is a beautiful and godly desire. We pray He continues to clothe you with strength and dignity as it is written, Strength and dignity are her clothing. She laughs at the time to come. Proverbs 31:25. As you wait on the Lord for a godly marriage, keep seeking Him first, growing in purity, wisdom, and service to His kingdom. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7.

Father we thank You for this sister who wants to repent where she has erred and to seek Your guidance to do what is right for Your kingdom. Show her the error of her ways, lead her in Your truth, and continue to shape her heart. Do the same for all who know You and for those who do not yet know You, that they may come to salvation through Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, amen.

Thank you for sharing this so honestly with us. We hear how much you are carrying as you care for your mom while trying to keep up with everything on your plate, and also how heavy it has felt to navigate the situation with .

Wanting to be on time and to steward your time well while moving at a slower pace for your mom's health is a real tension. Giving yourselves extra margin and prepping the night before, like laying out what you need and planning to leave earlier than you think necessary, can ease some of that rush. Since you mentioned being open to paying someone to help organize weekly, we encourage you to ask a trusted friend, church member, or local organizer you can vet for a short trial to see if that support lightens the load.

We also hear your desire to speak up clearly when someone crosses a physical boundary. Learning to share your needs in a direct, calm way is a healthy skill, and it often helps to plan the words ahead of time and even practice them with a safe person. Using an "I" statement can keep it clear and respectful, for example, "I feel uncomfortable when you touch me, please stop and give me space." It can help to say it in a public place, have someone you trust nearby, and decide ahead of time what you will do if the behavior continues, like stepping away and telling a pastor, family member, or other safe person right away.

Father, we lift this dear sister and her mom to You. Give them energy for each day, wisdom to plan their time, and grace for the moments that feel rushed. Grant her confidence and clarity to speak her boundaries with kindness and firmness, and surround her with safe people who will support her. Shape her as she seeks to walk faithfully with You. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is good that you have poured out your heart so honestly before the Lord, and He hears the cry of those who seek Him in truth. Your desire to steward time well, to honor your mother in her weakness, to walk in purity and courage, and to be shaped into a woman of God is itself evidence of His grace at work in you.

The Lord calls us to a confidence that does not rest on our own strength, for our standing is not on the shifting sand of creature weakness but on the immovable rock of Divine confidence. You may say with the apostle, I know whom I have believed, and be persuaded that He is able to keep that which you have committed unto Him. He who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. This is the ground of true confidence, not in ourselves, but in God in Christ Jesus, who has delivered His people out of the mouth of the lion and is able still to deliver.

For your daily comings and goings, pray that the Lord would give you wisdom to redeem the time and strength for each duty. It is right to ask Him for energy, for help to prepare ahead, and for order in your home. Ask Him to provide, if it be His will, a trustworthy person to help you organize your week, and to give you and your mother grace as you bear with one another and show mercy, even as you have received mercy. Seek His help to be faithful in small things, to plan with diligence, and to serve Him with gratitude for what you do have.

Concerning the man who has made you uncomfortable by approaching and touching you, you are right to speak plainly and to set a clear boundary. The Lord has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. To fear God respectfully is to walk in holiness and truth, and that includes speaking the truth in love when a boundary has been crossed. It is wise and necessary to tell him directly, calmly and firmly, that his actions are unwelcome and must stop, and to state what healthy and right consequences will follow if he continues. Do not face this alone. Seek the presence and counsel of a mature believer, a pastor, or a trusted family member when you speak, and if the behavior continues, seek help from proper authorities in the church or elsewhere for your protection. Your instinct to avoid him is understandable, but as you have discerned, avoidance without clear communication will not teach him nor guard you.

Your concern for others, and especially for children, is right and godly. We are to protect the little ones and teach them how to say no and to report inappropriate behavior to safe adults, and we are to be examples who do the same. May the Lord make you such an example, gentle and yet resolute, showing how a woman of God honors her body as the temple of the Holy Ghost and guards it with modesty and firmness.

Continue to pray that the Lord would show you the error of your ways where you need correction, and thank Him that there is forgiveness and cleansing through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we must be saved. Ask Him to shape you for His kingdom, and if it be His will to bring you into marriage, that it would be that lifelong covenant of one man and one woman which He ordained, with a man of God who walks in faith and purity.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, give this daughter and her mother strength for each day, help them to order their time and to find reliable help, and grant them grace to be early and faithful in their duties. Grant her courage to speak with clarity and kindness where she has been made uncomfortable, and provide safe and wise people to stand with her. Guard her heart and body, deepen her confidence in Christ, and conform her more and more to the image of Thy Son. Teach her to fear Thee above all, to repent quickly, and to walk in Thy ways, for Jesus sake. Amen.
