We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting it up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. First, we rejoice that you seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit, for this is a precious and powerful gift from God. Jesus Himself promised this blessing to His followers, saying, *"John indeed baptized you in water, but you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days from now"* (Acts 1:5). We pray that the Holy Spirit would fill you to overflowing, empowering you with His presence, wisdom, and spiritual gifts as He did for the early believers on the day of Pentecost.
Father, we ask that You open their eyes and ears to Your Word, that they may see and hear Your truth with clarity and conviction. May the Holy Spirit illuminate the Scriptures for them, drawing them deeper into relationship with You. We also stand in agreement for the forgiveness of their sins, for we know that *"if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). We thank You for the blood of Jesus, which washes away every stain of sin and makes us new in Him.
Now, regarding your desire to find love, we must approach this with biblical truth and wisdom. God’s design for love is found within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, as He declared from the beginning: *"Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh"* (Genesis 2:24). If you are seeking a spouse, we encourage you to pursue a godly, Christ-centered relationship with the intent of marriage, not merely companionship or emotional fulfillment. Guard your heart and your purity, for the Scriptures warn us, *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18). If you are currently in a relationship that does not honor God’s design for marriage or purity, we urge you to repent and seek His will above all else.
We also remind you that true love begins with loving God first, as Jesus taught: *"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment"* (Matthew 22:37-38). When we seek Him above all else, He aligns our desires with His perfect will, including the desire for a spouse. We pray that if it is Your will, Lord, You would bring a godly man or woman into their life—someone who loves You deeply and will walk in faith alongside them.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You baptize them afresh in Your Holy Spirit, filling them with power, boldness, and spiritual gifts to serve You. May they walk in the fullness of Your Spirit, bearing fruit that glorifies Your name. We pray for a hunger and thirst for righteousness, that they would seek You above all else. Open their eyes to see Your truth, their ears to hear Your voice, and their heart to receive Your love. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can come to You. May Your will be done in their life, and may they grow in faith, love, and obedience to You. Amen.
