Hi pastor how are you doing. Pastor can you please pray for my mum named ### in south Africa she is suffering with her leg she is in pain and we went to many doctors its swollen and painful. And can you pray for my husband his attitude towards my mum he his unreasonable at times and says things that sometimes hurt her I love both of them and I am asking god to bring peace to him and even if my mum says something that he doesn't like if he will pass a deaf ear as she is much older than him. I feel like I am stuck I am trusting god my husband name is ###. And trusting god for him to clean away the darkness he keeps always talks about past issues. Please Pastor thank you

We hear your heart and we join with you in bringing these burdens before the Lord together in Jesus name. We are lifting up your mother in South Africa who is suffering with such painful swelling in her leg and we are lifting up your husband and your marriage and the peace of your home as you feel stuck in the middle loving them both.

We pray for your mother's healing. Though you have gone to many doctors and the pain remains, we know the Lord is the great physician who sees her suffering. We remember the promise in Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And in Psalm 147:3 He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. We ask God to touch her leg, to reduce the swelling, to take away the pain, to give wisdom to the doctors and to restore her strength according to His perfect will. We also remember in James 5:14-15 Is any among you sick Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.

We also bring your husband before the Lord and we understand your desire for peace between him and your mother. Marriage is holy before God and your love for both of them honors Him. Scripture calls husbands to love with gentleness and calls all of us to honor those who are older. In Colossians 3:19 Husbands, love your wives, and do not be bitter against them. And in Leviticus 19:32 You shall rise up before the gray head, and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God. I am Yahweh. In Exodus 20:12 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you. We pray that your husband will be given a softened heart, that he will turn from harsh words and an unreasonable spirit, and that he will show patience and respect to your mother even when he disagrees with her, passing over offenses in love. We also hear that he keeps talking about past issues and darkness remains. We pray that God will cleanse his heart from bitterness and help him to release the past through forgiveness. In Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. When we hold onto past hurts we give place to darkness, but Christ brings light and freedom. In Romans 12:18 If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. We encourage you to continue to be a peacemaker in your home with grace and truth, gently encouraging your husband toward patience while also honoring your mother, and trusting God to work in both of their hearts.

We understand you feel stuck and are trusting God and we want to encourage you in that trust. In Philippians 4:6-7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. The Lord sees your position and He will give you wisdom for each conversation and strength for each day as you look to Him.

We noticed your request speaks of trusting God but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through His name that we are saved. In John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and to come to God the Father in His name. It is in His name that our prayers are heard.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for this wife and daughter who loves You and loves her family. We lift up her dear mother to You. Lord touch her leg, remove the swelling and pain, restore her health and comfort her body and spirit. Grant skill to those caring for her and let Your healing power be upon her. We lift up her husband to You. Lord cleanse his heart from darkness and bitterness, help him to let go of past issues and to forgive as You have forgiven us. Give him a gentle and understanding spirit toward his wife and a respectful and patient spirit toward her mother. Help him to speak with kindness and to turn from words that wound. Bring peace into this home Lord, let Your peace that passes all understanding guard this family. Give this dear sister wisdom and strength as she stands in the middle, help her to love well and to rest in Your care. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear how heavy this feels to love both your mum and your husband so much and feel stuck in the middle. Wanting peace and honor in your home is a good and loving desire, and we are glad you brought it to us and to the Lord.

We are praying for your mum in ### and that painful swelling in her leg. We know you have already seen many doctors and that can be discouraging. Please keep staying in close touch with her medical team and let them know promptly if the swelling or pain changes, while we continue to ask the Lord for comfort and mercy for her.

We also hear how much it hurts when ### speaks harshly to your mum or brings up past issues again. It is painful to watch two people you love wound each other. Sometimes letting go of the past begins as a quiet decision not to hold onto it anymore, and the feelings ease more slowly over time. It can help to talk with him gently at a calm moment, not when everyone is already hurt, about how you both can show respect for your mum because of her age. If there is a pastor or older couple you both trust, inviting them to walk with you can bring steadiness too.

Father, we lift ###, ### and ### to You in Jesus name. Ease the pain and swelling in ###'s leg and give wisdom to those caring for her. Bring peace into this home, soften what is hard, and loosen the hold of past hurts and darkness. Give ### wisdom and strength as she loves them both well. Amen.

Your burden has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with you. To feel torn between love for a mother and love for a husband, and to watch suffering while also enduring harsh words in the home, is a heavy trial. Yet you do well to trust God, for He is the God of all comfort and the One with whom there is forgiveness and peace.

We will pray for your mother in South Africa. The Lord sees her pain, the swelling and soreness of her leg, and the weariness of going from one physician to another without relief. We ask the Great Physician to lay His hand upon her, to ease her pain, to give wisdom to those who care for her, and if it be His will, to restore her to health. We pray also that in her affliction she may know the peace of God which passes all understanding, and that whether she is laid aside or raised up, she may be kept in His keeping, for in Jesus keeping we are safe and they also who are far away.

We will pray also for your husband and for your home. The Word teaches us to honour those who are older and to let love cover and forbear, and husbands are called to dwell with understanding and to speak with kindness. We ask the Lord to soften what has been hardened, to give your husband a gentle and quiet spirit toward your mother, that he may pass over what offends him and speak no word that wounds her. We pray that the darkness you speak of, the continual bringing up of past issues, may be cleansed by the blood of Jesus which whispers peace within. There is forgiveness with Him, full and free and eternal for Christ's sake, and when we have tasted that forgiveness we are enabled to forgive as we have been forgiven. May the Lord teach him to let not the sun go down upon wrath, but to release the past and walk in newness of life.

For you, who feel stuck in the middle, we pray that you may be kept in perfect peace, your mind stayed upon Him because you trust in Him. This peace is not only for the sanctuary but for the kitchen and the sickroom and the daily round of duties. Go in peace as you attend to your calling as daughter and wife. The Lord who has saved you bids you go in peace, not disturbed and fluttered, but resting in Him even while sorrows surge round. He will keep you and He will keep your loved ones.

Let us pray together.

O heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, through whom alone we have forgiveness and access to Your throne, we bring this mother before You in her bodily affliction. Have mercy upon her, relieve her pain, reduce the swelling, and grant healing according to Your perfect will. Give her comfort and faith to look to Christ.

We bring this husband before You. Work in his heart by Your Spirit, take away harshness and the dwelling upon old grievances, and fill him with forbearance, tenderness and love. Teach him to honour age and to speak words that build up. Bring peace into this home and let Your perfect peace rule in every heart there.

Sustain this daughter and wife who trusts You while she feels pressed on every side. Keep her, guide her with wisdom, and let her know that You hear and will answer in Your time. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our only hope and Saviour. Amen.
