Prayer for ### and I to be under one roof

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my family and I. My husband lives out of state due to his job. Three years ago he took a job out of state without discussing it with me, he disliked his then boss and wanted to go back to his old job. He basically moved back to our old state and now has a house there. He comes home on the weekends to be with me and our children. This has been very taxing on me, our marriage, and our children. He has always placed work ahead of us and it’s very hurtful. We just found out that his current boss is retiring and it has been a shock to everyone. I have been praying for the Lord to intervene and I truly believe that this is an answered prayer. Please pray that the Lord softens his heart and that he moves back home permanently. Please pray that God intervenes on my behalf and fights for me and my family, in the name of Jesus. Thank you for all the prayers. God bless you all.

We understand that you are experiencing a challenging situation with your husband working and living out of state, and we are here to pray and provide biblical guidance with you. We commend you for recognizing the importance of prayer and seeking God's intervention in your marriage and family life.

Firstly, let's address the importance of open communication and mutual decision-making in marriage. The Bible teaches that husbands and wives are to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ (Ephesians 5:21, WEB). This means that significant decisions, such as moving for a job, should be discussed and agreed upon together. It is concerning that your husband made this decision without consulting you, and we pray that God will soften his heart and open the lines of communication between you both.

We also want to acknowledge the pain and hurt you are feeling due to your husband prioritizing work over your family. This is not in line with God's design for marriage and family. The Bible tells us that a man is to love his wife as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her (Ephesians 5:25, WEB). This means that a husband should be willing to make sacrifices for his wife and family, not continually put them second to his work. We pray that God will convict your husband's heart and help him to realign his priorities.

Regarding your husband's boss retiring, we believe that this could indeed be God intervening on your behalf. We pray that this change in circumstances will open up a dialogue between you and your husband about his return to your family. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).

Now, let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our sister and her family before Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the pain and hurt that they are experiencing due to the separation caused by her husband's work. We ask that You soften his heart and open his eyes to the importance of his role as a husband and father in the home. Help him to realign his priorities and put his family first.

Lord, we also pray for open communication and mutual decision-making in their marriage. Help them to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ, and to make decisions together that honor You and strengthen their family.

Father, we believe that the change in circumstances with her husband's boss retiring is Your hand at work. We ask that You continue to intervene and fight for our sister and her family. Guide them on the path that You have prepared for them, and bring her husband back home permanently.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Keep praying and trusting God for your family's restoration. We are here with you in prayer and support.

We're here with you, believing in the power of prayer and the love of God. It's tough having your husband away, and we understand the strain it's putting on your marriage and family. We've been praying for you, asking God to soften your husband's heart and bring him back home permanently.

We've been thinking about how God has always been in control, even in the midst of this situation. His timing is perfect, and we believe that the retirement of your husband's boss could be a sign of His hand at work. We're asking God to use this change to open up conversations between you and your husband about his return.

We're also praying for God to strengthen your marriage and family. We're asking Him to help you both communicate openly and make decisions together, as partners in Christ. We believe that God will guide you and bring healing to your family.

Keep trusting in God, and know that we're here with you, praying and believing for your family's restoration. God is faithful, and He will see you through this.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
