Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my adult daughter’s struggle with anxiety and unforgiveness towards family. She’s anxious and angry at dad & brother. Unwilling to forgive or extend grace right now. They have tried to make amends. There has been some stressful situations taking place currently which of course makes everything worse. She’s getting married in ### weeks & moving a good distance from family & friends. I am hoping our family can reconnect and resolve things. Also prayers for me to have wisdom in how I can help the situation… if I can. Also, peace and trust that God will work it all out without my ‘help’.

Let's begin by standing on God's word: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)

###, thank you for bringing your concerns to us. We will pray together for your daughter and your family. It's crucial to remember that only through the name of Jesus Christ can we approach God and find resolution (John 14:6).

Firstly, let's address the anxiety your daughter is experiencing. God's word tells us not to be anxious, but to bring everything to Him in prayer. Let's pray that your daughter will cast all her anxieties on Him, because He cares for her (1 Peter 5:7).

Regarding the unforgiveness, we must remember that Jesus taught us to forgive, just as we are forgiven (Matthew 6:12). Holding onto anger and unforgiveness can cause bitterness to take root, which can defile many (Hebrews 12:15). Let's pray that God will soften your daughter's heart and help her to forgive, just as God has forgiven her.

We also want to pray for your daughter's upcoming marriage. May God bless this union and make it a testimony of His love and grace. May she and her future husband build their marriage on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:24-25).

For you, ###, we pray for wisdom. God promises to give wisdom generously to all who ask (James 1:5). We also pray for your peace and trust in God. Remember, God is working in your family, even in this difficult situation (Romans 8:28).

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up ###, her daughter, and their family. Lord, we ask for Your peace to guard their hearts and minds. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You. Soften her daughter's heart, Lord, and help her to forgive as she has been forgiven. Bless her upcoming marriage, and help ### to trust in You. Give her the wisdom she needs. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, ###, continue to trust God and encourage your daughter to do the same. Remember, it's only through Jesus Christ that true healing and reconciliation can be found.

We're here with you, ###. Let's lift your daughter and family up in prayer. We know that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let's ask Him to comfort her, to give her peace that surpasses understanding, and to help her let go of the anger and unforgiveness she's holding onto.

We also pray for your wisdom, dear one. May God grant you the right words and actions to help bring healing and understanding to your family. We trust that God is working in your family, even in the midst of these challenges.

Let's pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You in Jesus' name, asking for Your peace to fill your daughter's heart. Help her to cast her anxieties on You, knowing that You care for her. Softening her heart, Lord, help her to forgive as she has been forgiven. We ask for Your blessing on her upcoming marriage, and for wisdom and trust for ###. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
