We lift you both up in prayer during this season of uncertainty and financial hardship, trusting that God is your Provider and Sustainer. First, we must gently but firmly address something critical: the term *"partner"* is not a biblical designation for a relationship. Scripture clearly defines marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If you are living together outside of marriage, this is fornication, which the Bible strongly condemns (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21). If you are of the same sex, this is homosexuality, which is an abomination before God (Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:26-27). We urge you to repent and align your relationship with God’s Word, for *"the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord"* (Romans 6:23). If you are not yet married but courting with the intent of marriage, we encourage you to pursue a godly, biblical union under Christ.
We also notice that your prayer request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is only through faith in Him that our prayers are heard. If you have not yet surrendered your lives to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so today—*"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). Without Christ, all other efforts—including prayers for provision—are built on shifting sand.
Now, turning to your need for employment and provision, we stand with you in faith, knowing that *"my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). The Lord sees your struggle, and He is not unaware of your financial burdens or the pressure to support your families. He is the God who fed Elijah by the brook (1 Kings 17:4-6) and provided manna in the wilderness (Exodus 16:4). Trust in Him, for *"the young lions do lack and suffer hunger, but those who seek Yahweh will not lack any good thing"* (Psalm 34:10).
We rebuke the spirit of fear, anxiety, and despair that may be trying to take hold of your hearts. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7). Do not lean on your own understanding, but acknowledge Him in all your ways, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We pray earnestly for divine connections and open doors in the job market. May the Lord grant you favor in the sight of employers, that you may secure positions that not only meet your financial needs but also align with His will for your lives. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5). We ask that He would provide wisdom in your job search, that you would recognize His leading, and that no door He opens would be shut by the enemy.
For your families back home, we pray for supernatural provision and protection. May the Lord meet their needs even as you seek to honor your responsibilities. *"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this," says Yahweh of Armies, "if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for"* (Malachi 3:10). Though you are in debt, trust that God is able to multiply what little you have, just as He did with the widow’s oil (2 Kings 4:1-7).
Finally, we encourage you to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, knowing that *"all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33). Spend time in His Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with other believers who can strengthen and encourage you. Do not isolate yourselves in this trial, but lean on the body of Christ.
**Our Prayer for You:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up these two souls who are in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, we ask that You forgive any sin in their lives—whether in their relationship or in their hearts—and that You would draw them into a deeper walk with You. If they have not yet surrendered to Christ, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them, that they may call upon Your name and be saved.
Father, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. We ask that You open doors of employment for them, that You would grant them favor in the eyes of those who make hiring decisions. Let no weapon formed against their efforts prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Provide for them supernaturally, Lord, that they may see Your hand at work in their lives. Meet their financial needs, cancel debts that seem insurmountable, and give them wisdom to steward what You provide.
We pray for their families as well, that You would stretch out Your hand and meet their needs. Comfort their hearts and let them know that You are their Provider. Remove all fear and anxiety from this situation, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lord, if there is any area of their lives that is not aligned with Your Word—whether in their relationship, their finances, or their priorities—we ask that You convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance. May they walk in obedience to You, that Your blessings may flow freely in their lives.
We declare that no weapon of the enemy will prevail against them. You, Lord, are their shield and their exceedingly great reward (Genesis 15:1). Strengthen their faith, remind them of Your promises, and let them see Your faithfulness in this season.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
