Prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We stand together in agreement with this heartfelt cry for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, not only for ourselves but for those entangled in deception and sin. It is a noble and urgent plea, for the world is drowning in lies, and only the light of Christ can pierce the darkness. We recognize that salvation comes only through the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Without Him, we are lost, and without His blood covering our sins, we remain separated from God. We lift up the team at and their legal representatives, praying that their eyes would be opened to the truth of the Gospel and that they would turn from their sins and place their faith in Jesus Christ alone.

The Word of God declares, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6). This is not a passive desire but an active, relentless pursuit of God’s holiness. We pray that this hunger would consume them, that they would no longer be satisfied with the empty promises of the world but would crave the living water that only Christ provides (John 4:14). Lord, break their hearts over their sin, for it is written, "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise" (Psalm 51:17). Let them see their need for repentance and turn away from the evil that grieves Your heart.

We also rebuke the spirit of deception that has blinded their minds, for the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that they might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that the blood of Jesus covers their sins if they would only repent and believe. We pray that they would not only know the truth but live it, walking in righteousness and integrity. The legal profession, like all areas of life, must be submitted to Christ, for "whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31). May they no longer use their knowledge of the law to justify unrighteousness but instead become advocates for justice, mercy, and truth.

We acknowledge that education and worldly wisdom do not equate to godliness. The apostle Paul warns, "Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up" (1 Corinthians 8:1). Lord, humble their hearts so that they would seek You above all else, for "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" (Proverbs 9:10). We pray that they would hate sin as You hate sin and that their consciences would be tender before You, quick to repent and turn from evil.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your holiness and for the work of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). We ask that You would stir within them a deep, unshakable thirst for Your Word, for Your presence, and for Your will. Let them no longer be content with surface-level faith or empty rituals but instead seek a genuine, transformative relationship with You. May they be like the psalmist who cried out, "As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants after You, God" (Psalm 42:1).

We also lift up those who are already in Christ within this situation, that they would stand firm in their faith, not wavering under pressure or compromise. Strengthen them to be salt and light in their spheres of influence, shining the truth of the Gospel even in the face of opposition. Let them walk in the fullness of the Spirit, bearing the fruit of righteousness, love, and peace.

Lord, we exalt Your name above all else, for You alone are worthy of praise. We surrender this situation into Your hands, trusting that Your will shall be done. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for His glory and for the advancement of Your kingdom. Amen.

We grieve with you over what you are seeing, the disregard for human life and honest communication is genuinely heartbreaking. When people entrusted with knowledge and power use it in ways that dismiss truth and harm others, it's deeply troubling, and we understand why your spirit is heavy. What stands out to us is how much you care. You're not standing at a distance, smug or self-righteous; you're on your knees, pleading for their hearts to change. That's costly love, and it's a reflection of the very compassion you're asking God to grow in them.

It can feel disorienting when the educated and accomplished fail so publicly in righteousness. We are reminded that wisdom and integrity don't automatically come with degrees or credentials, they grow from a heart that fears the Lord. So we hold fast with you to the hope that God alone can stir what no human argument can reach: a genuine thirst for truth, a hatred of sin that leads not to self-loathing but to honest repentance and change. Keep bringing this before Him, not with despair but with the steady expectation that He hears you. Your grief itself is a form of intercession, and it matters.

We also want to gently encourage you to guard your own heart in this. Watching others continue in what seems plainly wrong can breed frustration or weariness. Stay anchored in your own relationship with Christ, and if the weight of this ever feels isolating, share it with a trusted, mature believer who can pray alongside you in person.

Please pray with us:

Lord Jesus, we lift up these lawyers and legal representatives. You know every hidden place in their hearts. We ask that You convict them in a way that leads to life, not to shame that hides, but to brokenness that brings them to the light. Give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and if there is any in their number who belongs to You, cover them with Your protection, peace, and clarity. Sustain our friend who intercedes for them, and guard their own soul from weariness. We trust all of this to Your will, in Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The cry of your heart reaches heaven’s throne, and well it pleases the Father when His children plead for the souls of others. Yet let us be clear: the unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is not born of human striving nor stoked by our own fierce resolves, but is a stream flowing from the wounded side of the Sun of Righteousness, our Lord Jesus Christ. When you pray for those lawyers, bound in what you call Satan’s lies, remember that mere judgments, though they fall heavy, do not of themselves produce the repentance that saves. A man may be scorched with the fire of affliction, yet still blaspheme the name of God, as Revelation teaches us, and his repentance may be but the remorse of the flesh, a dread of consequence, not a loathing of sin itself. The repentance we must pray for is a gift: the Holy Spirit’s work, a grace that leads unto life.

You cite Psalm 51, that acceptable sacrifice of a broken and contrite heart. That is the very alphabet of true repentance, a heart rent, not garments, a spirit crushed under the weight of its own vileness and cast wholly upon free mercy. But take heed: we must not, even in our prayers, imagine that this contrition can ascend like incense apart from explicit faith in Jesus Christ. Any repentance that keeps a man from looking straight to Calvary, any sorrow that says, “I am too black for Christ to wash me”, is a sorrow that needs itself to be repented of. The repentance we preach in His name is repentance and remission of sins, woven together. It is turning from sin with one hand, because with the other we have grabbed hold of Christ’s robe. So pray boldly that the Spirit would convict these poor souls, not merely of the danger of their sin, but of the sin itself, its enmity against a holy God, its despising of redeeming blood. Pray that their thirst for righteousness would be a thirst for a righteousness not their own, for a perfect, legal, spotless righteousness which is found only in the Son of God.

You have acted rightly in bringing this matter before the Lord instead of boasting over fallen men. Self-righteousness is a painted harlot, and even our prayers can be defiled if we offer them with a secret “I thank thee that I am not as other men.” No, we are all beggars pointing to the same provision. Not the educated, not the lawyer, not the preacher, no flesh shall glory in His presence. That broken heart of which David sang is the sure mark of a work begun by grace. And what a comfort it is that the Holy Spirit intercedes with groanings unutterable! He moves in the deeps of the soul before ever a tear rolls down the cheek, before any thirst is consciously felt. The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, and He draws men, not dragging them by chains of terror alone, but by cords of love, by the goodness of God which leads to repentance. It is His kindness in a spared breath, a delayed judgment, a stirring sermon, a mother’s tear, these are the thunderings of a still, small voice.

Oh, pray on with importunity, but remember: your own thirst for their good must be matched with a humble confidence that Christ is exalted to give repentance and forgiveness. We present no sinners so far gone that the precious blood cannot cover them. We plead no case so tangled that He who is the center of all truth cannot cut the knots. Let your request be this: that they may see the beauty of holiness in the face of Jesus Christ, that they may thirst not merely for an abstract “truth” or a dry “righteousness,” but for Him, the living Truth, the incarnate Righteousness. When He becomes their all, then sin grows bitter, and self-loathing becomes a sweet companion, a rainbow bright with hope of better things to come. Continue to pray yourself into this same blessed posture. The repentance of the saints, like Sister Repentance cherished by Rowland Hill, keeps company with us even to the gates of pearl. It deepens, sweetens, and rests entirely upon the finished work of Him who was made sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. Soli Deo Gloria.

You have cried out for those lawyers, that they might be given an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. This is a blessed prayer, for Christ Himself stood and cried, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.” But see that the thirst you ask for them is genuine, not a fleeting emotion. The righteousness that saves is not a shadow or a figure, but a reality: it is “righteousness and holiness of truth.” Many put on the mask of righteousness, even ministers of the evil one disguise themselves as ministers of righteousness, but by their works they shall be known. For those who have received the knowledge of the truth and then sin willfully, the Apostle’s warning is terrible: there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation that shall devour the adversaries. That fire is unquenchable; listen and tremble.

Yet you have rightly remembered the sacrifice that God will not despise: a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart. This is the fountain of hope. Therefore, do not cease to pour out this prayer with tears, and add to it the power of almsgiving. Alms are like handfuls of seed that produce a harvest of righteousness; they scatter abroad and yet increase, and they can quench the flames of that fire. Pray that their hearts be shattered by true repentance, that they might hate their sin enough to forsake it, not merely feel a passing sorrow.

But while you intercede for them, take heed to your own soul. Put on the breastplate of righteousness, that life of universal virtue which no enemy can pierce. Hunger and thirst after righteousness yourself with all your desire, letting that holy craving consume every covetous thought. Prove by your deeds what is well-pleasing to the Lord: goodness, righteousness, and truth. Then your own life will become a river of living water, flowing from your innermost being, and those who see your good works may be stirred to seek the same unquenchable thirst. On that day, the broken and contrite will be lifted up, and the righteous will shine like the sun.

What a weighty and beautiful cry this is. When you pray for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, you are touching the very heart of what it means to be awakened by the Spirit. That kind of thirst is not natural to us in our fallen state. It comes only when we begin to see ourselves as God sees us. True revelation of Him always brings a true revelation of self, and in that light, our own righteousness looks like filthy rags. It is the mercy of God that stirs a person to hunger and thirst for a righteousness they cannot manufacture.

You are right to bring these lawyers and representatives before the throne, because no amount of education or professional skill can produce the righteousness God requires. We can follow after a law of righteousness, working hard to build a case for ourselves, and still miss the righteousness that is by faith. That is the trap of self-righteousness. It makes us ignorant of the righteousness God has provided, and we end up establishing our own. But Christ is the end of that striving. What a legal transaction it is! Just as Boaz secured redemption with witnesses at the gate, so the Lamb has settled our redemption before the elders around the throne. His blood speaks a better word, covering those who will simply believe.

The deep thirst you are describing is not primarily for moral reform or professional integrity, though those may flow from it. It is a spiritual thirst for the living God. As the deer pants for water, so our souls pant for Him. We often try to satisfy that thirst with success, knowledge, or influence, but the sign over every earthly cistern reads the same: “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again.” Jesus alone offers the water that becomes a spring welling up to eternal life. When He said, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink,” He was not dismissing the mind or the law. He was inviting us to the only fountain that truly satisfies the deepest need of the human spirit.

Your prayer for their hearts to be broken is exactly right. The sacrifice acceptable to God is not a religious performance or a clever argument. It is a broken spirit, a contrite heart. He will not despise that. As you intercede, you are asking the Lord to do what only He can: to remove the blindness, to shine the light of truth into the inner chambers of their conscience, and to give them a thirst they cannot ignore. That is a prayer that aligns with His promise. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. That filling is the righteousness of Christ imputed to all who believe, not a righteousness of our own making.

So do not be discouraged by what you see in the present darkness. Satan may rule for a season, and human injustice may grieve your heart, but the kingdom whose increase of righteousness and peace will never end is already breaking in. The Spirit bears witness to this truth, and He seals it upon the hearts of all who are His. Continue to pray this bold prayer, and let it keep you thirsting as well. For the more we taste of His fullness, the more we long for others to drink from the same living stream.

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, especially for those entangled in deception and sin. Thank you for allowing us to stand with you in this spiritual battle, lifting up the team, their lawyers, and all involved before our Heavenly Father. It is a privilege to intercede on their behalf, asking the Lord to break the chains of lies and open their eyes to His truth.

As we continue to seek God’s face, we encourage you to share any praise reports—whether big or small—so we may rejoice together in His faithfulness. If the hearts of those you’ve prayed for remain hardened, do not grow weary. Let us persist in prayer, trusting that the Holy Spirit is at work, even when we cannot see it. The Lord delights in a contrite heart, and we believe He will stir within them a hunger for His righteousness.

May the Father strengthen your spirit as you press into Him, and may His peace guard your heart in Christ Jesus. We remain steadfast in prayer, believing that His will shall prevail. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.
