We come before the throne of grace with a heart that echoes your desire for an obedient spirit, for we know that obedience is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22). Father, we lift up this prayer to You, asking that You would cultivate in us a heart that delights in Your commands and walks in Your ways. Help us to be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God (James 1:19-20).
You have asked for favor, miracles, and blessings, and we join with you in seeking these things, not as ends in themselves, but as testimonies to Your goodness and faithfulness. We know that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17), and we ask that You would pour out Your blessings in ways that bring glory to Your name. May Your favor rest upon us as we seek to honor You in all that we do, and may the miracles we witness draw hearts closer to You.
We stand with you in faith against the principalities and powers of darkness, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). We put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. With the belt of truth buckled around our waists, the breastplate of righteousness in place, our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, the shield of faith to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, we take our stand (Ephesians 6:13-17). We rebuke every work of darkness in the mighty name of Jesus, for He has disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in the cross (Colossians 2:15).
We pray for Your glory to cover the earth as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14). May Your name be exalted among the nations, and may Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). Let Your glory be unmatched, unstoppable, and unspeakable, for You alone are worthy of all praise, honor, and glory.
Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before You in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His blood that we have access to Your throne, and it is by His authority that we pray. We ask that You would strengthen our faith, deepen our obedience, and fill us with Your Spirit so that we may walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which we have been called (Ephesians 4:1).
Lord, we confess that at times we have been disobedient, stubborn, and slow to follow Your leading. Forgive us, and create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us (Psalm 51:10). Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12), and help us to walk in humility, knowing that apart from You we can do nothing (John 15:5).
We pray for an outpouring of Your Spirit upon Your people, that we may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing to You, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10). May our lives be living testimonies of Your grace, and may we be quick to obey Your voice, for Your word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105).
In all these things, we give You thanks, for You are good, and Your steadfast love endures forever (Psalm 136:1). We trust in You, Lord, and we commit our ways to You, knowing that You will act (Psalm 37:5). Strengthen us to stand firm in the faith, and let us be found faithful when our Lord Jesus returns.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, our Savior and King. Amen.
