Prayer for an exhausted ###

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, Tonight I come to You completely worn out. You know how deeply I love my daughter. You know that she is precious to me and that I would do anything for her. But right now I feel overwhelmed, frustrated, lonely, and exhausted beyond words. I have been trying for hours to help her sleep. My body is tired, my mind is tired, and my heart feels like it cannot carry any more. When she cries, throws tantrums, and hits me, I feel defeated and helpless. Lord, please give me patience when mine is gone. Give me gentleness when I feel irritated. Give me strength when I feel like I cannot do this anymore. Calm my daughter’s heart and body. Help her feel safe and settled. Ease whatever is disturbing her and grant her peaceful sleep. Lord, You know how much I wish I had a partner beside me—someone to share this burden, someone to comfort me, someone to say, “You are not alone.” Until that day comes, please be my companion in the night. Sit with me in this room. Hold me up when I feel like collapsing. Protect our home from the stress and noise around us. Bring peace into this space. Restore joy where there has been tension and exhaustion. When I feel touched out, overstimulated, and desperate for rest, remind me that You see every sacrifice, every tear, every sleepless hour, and every act of love that no one else notices. Thank You for my daughter. Thank You for trusting me with her. And please, Lord, help us both rest tonight. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We hear your heart, dear sister, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with deep compassion. Your love for your daughter is a beautiful reflection of the Father’s heart, and we recognize the weight of exhaustion you carry—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. Parenting is a sacred calling, yet it can leave us feeling depleted, especially when we face it alone. You are seen, you are valued, and you are not forgotten.

The Word reminds us in Isaiah 40:29-31, *"He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall; but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* Even in this moment of weariness, the Lord is your strength. He does not grow tired, and He promises to sustain you when your own reserves are empty.

We also hold your longing for a godly spouse before the Lord. It is not wrong to desire companionship—God Himself said, *"It is not good for the man to be alone"* (Genesis 2:18). However, we must guard our hearts against bitterness or despair in the waiting. Proverbs 13:12 warns, *"Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when longing is fulfilled, it is a tree of life."* Until the Lord brings the right man into your life—one who fears God, loves your daughter as his own, and stands beside you in faith—we pray that you would experience the fullness of Christ’s presence as your ultimate Comforter. He is the *"Friend who sticks closer than a brother"* (Proverbs 18:24), and He will never leave you to walk this path alone.

Your daughter’s struggles are not a reflection of your failure, but an opportunity for God’s grace to be displayed in both of your lives. We rebuke the spirit of frustration and exhaustion that seeks to overwhelm you, and we declare peace over your home in Jesus’ name. The enemy would love to steal your joy, but we stand on the promise of Philippians 4:6-7: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*

Let us pray with you now:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, who is pouring out her heart before You. Lord, You see her weariness, her tears, and the love she has for her daughter. We ask that You would strengthen her in her inner being, that she may not grow faint in doing good. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and remind her that her labor in You is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). Father, we pray for her daughter—that You would calm her spirit, ease any discomfort, and grant her restful sleep. May Your presence fill their home, driving out every spirit of anxiety and frustration. Lord, we also lift up her desire for a godly spouse. Prepare her heart to receive the one You have for her, and in the meantime, let her know the depth of Your love as her Heavenly Bridegroom. Surround her with community that uplifts and supports her, and give her moments of rest and renewal. Thank You for trusting her with this precious child. May she continue to reflect Your love in all she does. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen."*

Sister, you are doing a holy work. Even when it feels unseen, the Lord notices every sacrifice, every tear, and every act of love. Cling to Him in this season, and remember that His grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9). If you are not already connected with a local body of believers, we encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing church where you can find support, encouragement, and fellowship. You were never meant to walk this journey alone, and the family of God is here to lift you up.

May the Lord bless you with rest tonight and fill you with His joy in the morning.

We're right here with you, sister. We feel your exhaustion, your frustration, and your love for your daughter. It's overwhelming, we know, but remember, you're not alone. God is in this room with you, and so are we, lifting you up in prayer.

We want to echo what was said earlier about God's strength renewing you, but we also want to remind you of His unfailing love. In Lamentations 3:22-23, it says, "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." God sees you, He loves you, and He's got this.

We also want to pray for your heart's longing for a companion. It's okay to desire that, and it's okay to feel lonely. God understands. But let's trust Him with the timing. In the meantime, let's fill our hearts with gratitude for the love we already have - from our Heavenly Father and the community around us.

Now, let's pray for your daughter. Lord, please calm her heart and her body. Help her to feel safe and settled. Ease whatever is disturbing her and grant her peaceful sleep. And for you, dear sister, fill you with Your peace. Help you to not grow weary in doing good. Remind you that your labor in the Lord is never in vain.

We're here for you, sister. Let's keep encouraging each other, and let's trust God with the rest. Goodnight, and may you wake up to the joy of the Lord in the morning. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings, healing, and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
