Prayer for a ### to become my spouse ...

Good and Faithful Servant
Prayer for a ### to become my spouse and ask God why I kept praying for a spouse but nothing seems to be happening. Does He want me to quit the faith.

Dear ###,

We understand your longing for a spouse and your frustration with the delay in your prayers being answered. Let us first assure you that God hears your prayers and has a plan for your life.

In Psalm 37:4 (WEB), it is written, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." This verse assures us that when our desires align with God's will, He will grant them. However, we must remember that God's timing is perfect, and He often uses periods of waiting to grow our faith and character.

Regarding your concern about whether God wants you to quit the faith, let us remind you of the words in Hebrews 10:35-36 (WEB), "Don’t, therefore, throw away your boldness, which has a great reward. For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise." Trials and delays are not signs that God wants us to give up but rather opportunities to persevere and grow stronger in our faith.

We also want to address the nature of your request. In the Bible, marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman. If your relationship with your girlfriend is not aligned with biblical principles, we encourage you to seek God's will for your relationship. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB), it is written, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" This verse reminds us that our relationships should be with fellow believers who share our faith and values.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother ###. Lord, we ask that You comfort his heart and strengthen his faith as he waits for Your perfect timing. Help him to trust in Your plan and to delight in You.

We pray for his girlfriend, that she may come to know You and that their relationship may honor You. If it is Your will, Lord, we pray that their relationship may grow into a godly marriage that reflects Your love and faithfulness.

In the meantime, Lord, help ### to use this time of waiting to grow closer to You and to prepare himself for the good works You have planned for him.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, ###, God loves you and has a purpose for your life. Trust in Him and continue to seek His will.

"He (Jesus) went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.” Matthew 26:39

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
