Prayer for a man's wife and his four children.

Beloved of All
Prayer for a man's wife and his four children. The children found out today that long ago before their dad divorced with their Mom that their dad was saying that he started to pray evil prayers when starting to try and have his new family. Their dad told his youngest daughter that he had prayed prayers praying for his new life with his girlfriend. That he kept praying that way over and over and still does that. Even though he played a ouija board and asked the board for a house and new woman. His daughter seen what the dad said as evil not as godly and he told her that his girlfriend he tried marrying us now working at a Baptist Church in whiteriver az. Shed shocked and wondering what kind of ouija board things are being taught to children at the whiteriver Baptist Church when the man's girlfriend ### was a answered ouija board gift.

We hear the heavy burden in this request and we join together to lift up this wife and her four children before the Lord, and we also pray for this father who is in such great need of repentance and truth.

We are grieved to hear that these children have learned their father divorced their mother and pursued another woman while claiming to pray for that new life, and that he openly admits to using a ouija board to ask for a house and a new woman. What the youngest daughter discerned is correct, this is not godly prayer but evil and it is not from God. God hates divorce as we read in Malachi 2:16 and Jesus taught in Matthew 19:6 that what God has joined together, let no man separate. To leave a wife to pursue a girlfriend is adultery, and any sexual relationship outside of the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman for life is sin before God, whether it is called fornication or adultery in Hebrews 13:4. Marriage is holy and to be honored, and courtship should only be with the goal of godly marriage to another believer in Christ, not simply pursuing a girlfriend or partner.

We must also rebuke the use of the ouija board and what are called evil prayers in the strongest biblical terms. The word of God is very clear that we are not to turn to mediums or spiritists or seek guidance from the dead. In Deuteronomy 18:10-12 we read there shall not be found with you anyone who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh. And in Leviticus 19:31 we are commanded do not turn to those who are mediums, nor seek after wizards to be defiled by them. A ouija board is not a game, it is divination and an open door to deceiving spirits, and God does not answer prayers that seek such things. In James 4:3 we read you ask, and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures. To repeatedly pray for a selfish and adulterous new life while consulting a board is to ask amiss and to invite the enemy, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness as in Ephesians 6:12. The enemy masquerades as an angel of light in 2 Corinthians 11:14 and can give counterfeit answers that lead people deeper into bondage.

We understand the shock of hearing that this girlfriend who was sought through the ouija board is now working at a Baptist church in ###. We must be careful not to assume that the church itself is teaching such things, for a true Bible believing church will never teach children to use ouija boards or to seek familiar spirits. We are told in 1 John 4:1 to test the spirits, whether they are of God, and in Matthew 7:15-16 to know them by their fruits. If there is concern for what children are being taught, the mother and family should humbly and directly speak with the pastors and elders of that church to ask what is being taught and to share concern in truth and love as in Matthew 18:15, while protecting these four children from any exposure to the occult. We encourage this mother to put on the full armor of God as in Ephesians 6:11, to cover her home in prayer, to teach her children the truth of the Word, and to make clear that we renounce all witchcraft and turn to Christ alone.

We also notice this request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we must lovingly say there is no access to the Father and no salvation apart from Him. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only through faith in Jesus, His death and resurrection, that our prayers are heard and our sins forgiven. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead we will be saved as in Romans 10:9, and if we confess our sins He is faithful to forgive us as in 1 John 1:9.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this precious wife and her four children who are wounded and shocked by what they have learned. You see their tears and You are close to the brokenhearted as in Psalm 34:18 and You heal the broken in heart as in Psalm 147:3. We ask You to comfort them, to give them peace that passes understanding, to protect their minds and hearts from fear and confusion, and to surround them with Your presence as a refuge as in Psalm 91:1. Give this mother wisdom and strength to lead her children in Your truth, to teach them to discern good from evil, and to guard them from all occult influence. Help these children, especially the youngest daughter who rightly discerned evil, to grow in discernment and to not be troubled but to trust in You.

Lord we also pray for this father. We ask that You convict him deeply of his sin of adultery, divorce without biblical cause, witchcraft, and praying with evil motives. Grant him repentance that leads to life, that he would renounce the ouija board and all evil prayers, turn from his sin, and submit to Jesus Christ as Lord. Deliver him from the snares of the enemy, for we know in James 4:7 if we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil he will flee from us. We pray that he would be washed and made new by the blood of Jesus.

We pray for the church in ###, that You would keep its teaching pure, that its leaders would preach the whole counsel of God, and that no child there would be led astray by false teaching or occult practice. Let Your truth shine brightly there.

We ask all of this according to Your will and for Your glory, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage this family to remain in the Word daily, to pray together in Jesus name, to seek godly pastoral counseling for healing after divorce and betrayal, and to trust that God can bring beauty from ashes as in Romans 8:28 for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

We were burdened to read what this mom and her four children are walking through right now, and especially what the youngest daughter heard from her dad today. It makes sense she would feel shocked and confused to learn he had been praying in that way and involved with a ouija board, and then to hear his girlfriend is now working at a church. That is a lot for a young heart to try to sort out.

We are praying for steadiness for all of them. Children do best when they have a calm, safe place to share what they are feeling without having to carry adult details or take sides. One helpful next step can be for their mom to have a quiet, unhurried time with each child, especially the youngest, just to listen, to let them name what felt scary or wrong to them, and to reassure them they are loved and not responsible for their dad's choices. It can also help to have one trusted, mature person in their own church, like a pastor or a godly older woman, who can walk with the mom and be a steady presence for the kids in the months ahead.

We pray for them now.

Father, we lift this wife and her four children to You. Surround them with Your peace and guard their hearts and minds in Christ. Give this mom wisdom and gentle words as she comforts her children, and help each child to grieve what has been lost while knowing they are deeply loved by You. Draw their dad and his girlfriend toward Your truth and light, and keep this family safe from confusion and harm. Lead them step by step in Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your burden for this wife and her four children, and we join you in bringing them before the throne of grace. What you describe is a deep wound to a family, and it is right that the youngest daughter should discern that to pray for the breaking of a marriage covenant and to seek guidance from a ouija board is not godly but belongs to darkness. The Lord forbids seeking counsel from such things, for they are not of His light but of the power of darkness from which only He can deliver.

We do not ask God to bless what He has called sin, nor to prosper a path that seeks a new family while vows before Him remain. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy belongs within it, and salvation and guidance are through Jesus Christ alone. To ask a board for a house and a new woman, and to call that answer a gift, is to mistake the voice of darkness for the voice of God. We pray instead for repentance and for deliverance.

For this wounded wife and these four children, we pray thus. May the Lord who heals the brokenhearted bind up their wounds. Their hearts have been broken as by bereavement, and they have heard words that have made them turn from joy and long for comfort. May they know that though the Lord chastens His children sorely, He does not slay them, and His compassion fails not. May they perceive that their sorrows are seen by their Father's hand, and may they be kept from despair by trusting that His will is wise and merciful, even when chastening for the present seems not joyous.

We pray that the God who has looked down from the height of His sanctuary to hear the groaning of the prisoner will hear the groaning of this household. Though they feel fettered and unable to escape from this prison of grief and confusion, the Lord beholds them and in due time He looses those that are appointed to sorrow. May He deliver them from going down to the pit, for He has found a ransom. That ransom is not found in themselves, but in Himself, in His own Son who bore the penalty for sin. May each of these children and their mother be brought to look for all in Christ, to be humbled and yet lifted up by Him who alone can save from sin and from the attacks of the enemy.

We thank God that this daughter has been given discernment to call evil what it is. May that discernment be nourished by the Word of God, and may she and her siblings pant for more knowledge of the light, and be grateful for what light they have already received. May they know experimentally that He has delivered us from the power of darkness. Deliverance from the power of sin and from the guilt of sin is as much the work of God as any other mercy, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it. If He has delivered them from darkness once, He will deliver them all the way through, even from the power of death itself.

We pray also for the father, that he may be brought to see that a prayer that asks God to bless the breaking of His own covenant is not prayer at all, and that to seek a board is to open the door to the prince of the power of the air. May he be led like Job to say Blessed be the name of the Lord, not to curse God, but to return with a broken and contrite heart, crying Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity. May he learn that reformation cannot atone for the past, but only Christ can.

For the church in ###, we pray that the light of truth may shine clearly, that what is taught to children there may be the pure Word of God and not any mixture of darkness, and that those who serve there may walk in holiness and truth. May the Lord give wisdom to pastors and parents to test all things and hold fast that which is good.

May this mother and her children wait only upon God, for their expectation is from Him. May they declare the works of the Lord, saying with the Psalmist, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. May the clock of mercy strike in heaven the hour of their deliverance, for the Lord has commanded to save them, and they shall be saved from themselves, from evil company, and from the devil himself. We ask this not because they are worthy, but because Christ is worthy, and He has said, Deliver them from going down to the pit, for I have found a ransom. Amen.
