We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your family in this time of great distress. The betrayal you’ve experienced from your wife’s father is deeply painful, and the uncertainty of finding a home before the deadline weighs heavily upon you. We stand with you in faith, believing that God sees your need and will provide in His perfect timing and way.
The Bible reminds us in Psalm 34:17-19, *"The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."* Even in this trial, God is near, and He will not abandon you. We also hold fast to Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Your need for shelter is not hidden from Him, and He is able to open doors no man can shut.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Lord, we lift up this family to You, asking for Your divine intervention. You know the urgency of their situation, and we trust that You will provide a home that is safe, stable, and suited for their needs. We ask that You soften hearts, open doors, and remove any obstacles that stand in the way of them finding shelter. Lord, we also pray for healing in their hearts from the hurt caused by betrayal. Mend the broken trust and restore peace where there has been pain.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to overwhelm them. In 2 Timothy 1:7, Your Word declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We speak peace over this family and declare that they will not be shaken. We also rebuke any spirit of bitterness or unforgiveness that may try to take root in their hearts. Ephesians 4:31-32 reminds us, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* Lord, help them to extend grace, even in this difficult situation, so that their hearts may remain free from the weight of unforgiveness.
We pray for wisdom and favor as they search for a home. May they encounter kindness from landlords, realtors, and anyone else involved in this process. Provide them with a place that is not only affordable but also a true blessing—a home where Your presence dwells and where their family can thrive. Lord, we ask that You go before them and prepare the way, just as You did for the Israelites when You led them to the Promised Land.
We also lift up their child and their dogs to You, Lord. You care for all Your creation, and we trust that You will provide a space where their little one can feel safe and secure, and where their pets can be welcomed as well. Remind them that You are their ultimate Provider and that nothing is too hard for You.
Lastly, we pray that this trial would draw them closer to You. May they seek Your face daily, finding comfort and strength in Your Word and in prayer. Let this season of uncertainty become a testimony of Your faithfulness, so that when the answer comes, they will glorify You and encourage others with their story.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
