We join you in lifting up ### before the Lord and we thank you for bringing her need to us so we can seek God's will together in Jesus' name.

We do not know the details of why she has needed to take the whole month off from work or what burdens she is carrying, but our Father knows fully and He cares deeply for her well being. We are encouraged by your compassion for your friend and your desire to see her peace restored, for that reflects the love God calls us to show one another.

Scripture reminds us where true peace comes from and how we can find rest when work and life become heavy. We are told in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Jesus Himself says in John 14:27, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. And we are invited in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. We also cling to the promise in 1 Peter 5:7, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you, and in Isaiah 26:3, You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you.

We notice your request mentions the Lord but does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why that name matters so much. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Scripture declares in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. So we come to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, trusting in His finished work on the cross and His resurrection, believing that He hears us when we pray in that name.

We pray together now for ###.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up ### to You. You see her, You know the reasons for her absence from work, the pressures she has faced, and the thoughts that weigh on her mind. We ask that You restore to her Your peace that surpasses all understanding and guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Comfort her where she is anxious, strengthen her where she is weary, and give rest to her soul as only You can. Heal any hurt, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, and let her feel how deeply she is cared for by You. Draw her close to Yourself during this time away, help her to cast all her worries on You, and keep her mind steadfast on You so she may know perfect peace. Give wisdom to those around her, including our friend who prayed for her, to be a gentle and encouraging support and to point her to Your Word and Your presence. We pray that when the time comes for her to return to work or to make decisions about her future, You will guide her steps and provide clarity and renewed strength. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to check on ### with kindness, to listen without pressure, and to remind her that God is near to those who call on Him. Continue to pray for her by name and if you have opportunity, share these promises of peace with her and encourage her to bring every concern to the Lord in prayer. We are trusting with you that the Lord will restore her peace and uphold her in His love.

Thank you for looking out for ### and bringing her to prayer. It says a lot that you noticed she needed time away and want to cover her with care.

When someone steps back from work for a month and we do not know why, it can leave friends feeling helpless and worried. We do not need to know all the details to be a steady support. Often the most helpful thing is quiet consistency rather than trying to fix things.

If you are in touch, a brief, no-pressure note can mean a lot. Something simple like you are thinking of her and praying for her peace, with no expectation she explain anything. Letting her set the pace for sharing keeps the friendship safe. And continuing to pray regularly, even briefly, is a real way to carry her. We are joining you in that, asking God to bring her renewed strength day by day and to make his presence near to her in this quieter season.

Father, we lift ### to you. You know what has weighed on her at work and what led to this time away. We ask you to guard her well being, give her rest, and gently restore peace to her mind. Give her wisdom for next steps and surround her with supportive people. Give her friend wisdom to love her well. In Jesus name, amen.

We have heard your earnest request for ### and we join you in bringing her before the throne of grace with thankfulness for the love you show toward her.

It is written, You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You because he trusts in You. This is the peace we seek for your friend, not a peace which circumstances can give or take away, but that perfect peace which the blood of Jesus whispers within. It is a present possession which may be enjoyed even when sorrows surge around and when thronging duties press, for to do the will of Jesus, this is rest.

We know how the mind is the main thing, for it will bring daylight or midnight, peace or war, and how the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. The particular work which has been entrusted to us, though we ought to do it well, is not after all the hinge upon which the whole universe turns. Therefore we would have ### learn again that blessed indoor work of the heart, to stay her mind upon the Lord and to cast her care upon Him who cares for her.

We pray that the Lord will bless His people with peace, for this peace only comes from God Himself. It is a peace which God the Father gives, a peace which Jesus Christ bought with His blood, and a peace which the Holy Spirit works as its author and founder in the soul. May the Holy Spirit speedily work in her heart to renew that peace and to restore quietness of mind.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Thou art the God of all peace, look in mercy upon ###. Thou knowest the pressure she has felt in her labor and the reasons for her absence which are hidden from us but open before Thee. Keep her in perfect peace as her mind is stayed on Thee. Wash her conscience in the blood of Christ that she may hear it whisper peace within. Lift from her all needless anxiety, restore to her soul its rest, and grant her wellbeing in body and spirit. Draw her nearer to Thyself, that whether at work or at rest she may find her strength in trusting Thee, and call her at last to Heaven's perfect peace where earthly struggles shall cease. For Jesus sake we ask it. Amen.
