Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have heard your prayer and we join you in bringing it before our Lord Jesus Christ with thanksgiving.
We pray that God will give you a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit, not as a vague feeling of energy in things, but as His own presence dwelling in you. Scripture teaches that the Word was made flesh, not by changing His divine essence, but by taking true human flesh to Himself while remaining fully God, so that He might dwell among us and redeem us. To know Him and to hear His voice is a spiritual work. As it has been taught, the things of God are spiritual and have nothing carnal about them, and they are not discerned by merely looking at what is before our eyes, but with the eyes within. We pray that God will open your eyes and ears to hear Him as He speaks in His Word and by His Spirit, and that you will understand His truth spiritually and not in a merely carnal way.
You asked for every curse and word curse to be broken. We thank God that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. The law says, cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things written in the book of the law, and no one could keep it perfectly. Christ, who did no violence and had no deceit in His mouth, took upon Himself the curse of hanging on the tree, not the curse of His own transgression, but the curse that was ours, like an innocent man undertaking to die for another sentenced to death, so that He might rescue us from punishment. If you are in Christ through faith, you are no longer under that curse. We pray that you will rest in that redemption and know that you are blessed and protected in Him, and that the voice of the enemy would be silenced in your life. We pray for protection from every spirit that is not from God.
We pray for your restoration, for healing and life and nourishment in body and soul, for health and for good stewardship of the strength God gives you, including posture and daily needs. We pray for wisdom to know what to do with the money God has entrusted to you, for new ideas and guidance in every practical decision, and for happiness that is rooted in Christ. We pray that your sense of worth and value will increase as you see what God sees about you, that you are made in His image and, if you are in Christ, you are justified before God not by works of the law but by faith, and that doers of His will are justified before Him even when they may not appear so before people.
You asked for an increase in prophetic anointing, for the gift of tongues, and to know what to say to others and to be good at conversing and helping others. We pray that the Holy Spirit will dwell richly in you, that He will give you wisdom and love and clarity of speech to build others up, and that He will distribute His gifts according to His perfect will for the good of the church. We pray that you will desire spiritual gifts in love and order, seeking above all to speak what is true and helpful as God leads.
We lift up the person you mentioned to the Lord as well. We pray that God will work in both of your lives according to His will, that He will give you discernment, purity, and wisdom in that relationship, and that every relationship in your life would be formed according to His design, which from the beginning is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, with all intimacy kept within that covenant, and that all of us would find our salvation through Jesus Christ alone.
We pray that loneliness and boredom will be met with the nearness of Christ, who gives rest to all who labor and are heavy laden, and who invites all to come to Him. May He fill your heart so that you are not alone, and guide you into ways you can serve and encourage others with the blessings He has given you.
We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and redeemer, trusting that He who took our curse upon Himself is faithful to keep you, to teach you, and to make you whole. Amen.
