Prayer for a difficult situation

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf during this challenging time. We are truly glad that you invited us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

As we continue to lift up your family and the well-being of your husband's daughter, we want to encourage you to keep trusting in the Lord's timing and wisdom. If you have seen progress or resolution in this situation, we would be blessed to hear about it. Please share a praise report so that we can all rejoice together in what the Lord has done.

If the situation remains unresolved, or if new challenges have arisen, we ask that you post an update. We want to continue praying with you and for you. We are here to support you spiritually and to intercede on your behalf.

In these trying times, may God bless you and your family abundantly. May He grant you the peace that surpasses all understanding, and may His love and comfort be upon you as you continue to seek Him through His son, Jesus Christ.

Father in Heaven, we come before you to uphold our dear sister in Christ. We ask, Lord, that you make a way where there seems to be no way. Grant her husband's daughter safety, happiness, and the love that she needs and deserves. Work in the heart of the child's mother, removal of anger and bitterness as only you can Lord. Finally, guide the footsteps of everyone involved in this trying time. Jesus Christ, we humbly pray this in your name. Amen.

Thank you for your continued prayers. Knowing that you and a community, albeit virtual, are offering prayers for us in this difficult time has given me the strength to keep going. There are some developments since I first posted the prayer request. The child’s mother has become even more defensive, now that more proof of misspending the funds meant for the child and more and more untruthful. She has blamed the nanny for “spying” on her affairs and telling on her—which is a lie. In which case she has told the nanny to leave (which technically is illegal since my husband is the nanny’s employer) and has prevented her from coming into contact with the child. As a result, this loving woman who was dedicated to looking after the child and has formed a very strong bond with her, was unable to say a proper goodbye to the child nor explain why she had to leave. The child has since been devastated. Additionally, the mother has decided that she would prevent any contact between my husband and his daughter, out of spite. For that, the child (according to reports of neighbors and parents of the child’s friends who speak to my husband) is even sadder. This has now spurred us to seek legal counsel on how to proceed. But I want to thank the Lord for providing the resources which allow us to work with a well-known and competent lawyer. We continue to pray for the child’s safety, health, and happiness. We pray that the truth will be revealed.
