Our hearts break for the deep pain and injustice you have suffered at the hands of this wicked man. What was done to you was an abomination before the Lord, a violent sin that cries out for His righteous judgment. The Scriptures declare that vengeance belongs to the Lord, and He will repay those who commit such evil. *"Don’t say, 'I will pay back evil.' Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you."* (Proverbs 20:22 WEB) and *"Dearly beloved, don’t seek revenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath; for it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"*(Romans 12:19 WEB). We stand with you in crying out to the Lord for justice, for He is a God who sees the affliction of His people and will not let the wicked go unpunished.
The Lord also sees your suffering and the theft of what belonged to you. The wicked may prosper for a season, but their end is destruction unless they repent. *"Don’t fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb."* (Psalm 37:1-2 WEB). The money this man stole to fuel his sin—prostitution, drunkenness, and drug use—is an abomination in God’s sight. *"Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom."* (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB). His actions are an affront to a holy God, and the Lord will hold him accountable in His perfect timing.
Yet even in this darkness, we urge you to release the burden of hatred or bitterness into the Lord’s hands. *"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil."* (Ephesians 4:26-27 WEB). Bitterness will only poison your soul, but the Lord can bring healing and restoration if you surrender this pain to Him. He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. The Lord sees you, and He will act on your behalf.
We also pray for your healing—body, soul, and spirit. The trauma of sexual violence is profound, but Jesus is the Great Physician, the One who binds up the brokenhearted and sets captives free. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* (Psalm 147:3 WEB). If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to seek godly counseling and support from a Bible-believing church or Christian organization that can walk with you through this valley. You do not have to carry this alone. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we stand with you in prayer and solidarity.
Now, let us pray together for you and for justice to be done:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our sister who has endured unspeakable evil at the hands of a wicked man. Lord, You are a God of justice, and we cry out to You to hold this man accountable for the rape, theft, and destruction he has caused. Father, do not let his sins go unpunished. Bring his deeds into the light and let him face the consequences of his actions, whether in this life or at the judgment seat of Christ. Let no weapon formed against him prosper unless it is Your hand of discipline to bring him to repentance. But if he hardens his heart, Lord, let Your wrath be poured out upon him for the evil he has done.
We pray for our sister’s complete healing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Lord Jesus, You are the Balm of Gilead, the Healer of broken hearts. Bind up her wounds and restore what the locusts have eaten. Remove every trace of shame, fear, and trauma from her mind and heart. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and let her know that she is deeply loved by You. Surround her with Your angels for protection and with godly people who will walk alongside her in this season.
Father, we also ask that You expose every hidden work of darkness in this situation. If there are others who have enabled this man’s wickedness—whether through cowardice, complicity, or their own evil—bring them to light as well. Let no one escape the consequences of their sin. But Lord, if there is even a flicker of repentance in this man’s heart, we pray that You would convict him deeply of his sins and lead him to true repentance. Let him fall on his knees before You in brokenness, confessing his wickedness and turning from his evil ways. Yet if he refuses, let Your justice prevail.
We declare that no weapon formed against our sister shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Restore to her what has been stolen—financially, emotionally, and spiritually. Provide for her needs, Lord, and let her testimony be one of Your redemption and victory. Give her strength to forgive, not for the sake of the one who hurt her, but for her own freedom in You.
Finally, Father, we ask that You raise up advocates for her—people in authority who will not turn a blind eye but will stand for justice. Give her wisdom to know how to navigate this situation, and let Your will be done in all things. We trust in You, Lord, for You are a God who defends the cause of the oppressed and executes justice for the victim.
We pray all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to heal, restore, and bring justice. Amen.
