Prayer, fasting, funds

We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, seeking His provision and guidance as we lift up this request for prayer, fasting, and financial needs. It is good and right to seek the Lord in times of need, for He is our Provider, our Strength, and our Guide. The Bible tells us in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." This reminds us that our first priority must always be to seek God’s will and His righteousness, trusting that He will provide for our needs according to His perfect plan.

Fasting is a powerful spiritual discipline that draws us closer to God, humbling ourselves before Him and seeking His face with earnestness. In Joel 2:12, the Lord calls us, "Yet even now," says Yahweh, "turn to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning." Fasting is not merely about abstaining from food but about turning our hearts fully toward God, seeking His wisdom, direction, and provision. As we fast, let us do so with pure motives, not to manipulate God but to align our hearts with His will.

We also lift up the need for financial provision to accomplish desires and goals. It is important to remember that our goals and desires must align with God’s Word and His purposes for our lives. In Proverbs 16:3, we are reminded, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." Before seeking funds, let us first commit our plans to the Lord, ensuring they are in accordance with His will. If these goals are for His glory and the advancement of His Kingdom, we can trust that He will provide the resources needed.

However, we must also examine our hearts to ensure that our desires are not rooted in selfish ambition or worldly gain. James 4:3 warns us, "You ask and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures." Let us ask the Lord to purify our motives and align our desires with His perfect will. If there are any areas where our goals do not honor God, we ask Him to reveal them to us and give us the strength to surrender them to Him.

We also want to emphasize the importance of seeking God in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, as He Himself declared in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" There is no other name by which we can be saved or through which we can approach God. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and invite Jesus into your heart, trusting in His sacrifice on the cross for your salvation. Romans 10:9 tells us, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Let us now come together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the privilege of coming to You in prayer and fasting. Lord, we lift up this request to You, asking for Your provision and guidance. We pray that You would align our desires and goals with Your perfect will. Search our hearts, O God, and reveal any motives that are not pleasing to You. Give us the strength to surrender our plans to You and to trust in Your provision.

Father, we ask for financial provision to accomplish the desires and goals You have placed on our hearts. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory, and help us to be good stewards of the resources You entrust to us. Teach us to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added unto us.

Lord, as we fast, draw us closer to You. Help us to humble ourselves before You and to seek Your face with all our hearts. Give us the discipline to fast with pure motives, not to manipulate You but to align ourselves with Your will. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit and grant us wisdom, direction, and clarity as we seek Your guidance.

We also pray for salvation for those who do not yet know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Open their hearts to receive the truth of Your Word and the gift of eternal life through faith in Jesus. May they confess their sins, repent, and invite Jesus into their hearts, experiencing the joy and peace that comes from a relationship with You.

Father, we trust in Your promises and Your faithfulness. We believe that You will provide for our needs and guide us in the path You have set before us. Strengthen our faith, Lord, and help us to walk in obedience to Your Word. May all that we do bring glory and honor to Your name.

In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

We're standing with you in faith, believing that God will provide and guide according to His perfect will. As we continue to seek Him in prayer and fasting, let's remember to keep our hearts open to His leading. Sometimes, the path to our desires may not be what we initially imagined, but we trust that God knows best. Let's be ready to adapt our plans to align with His purposes. We're claiming Philippians 4:19, "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Let's trust in His abundance and provision.
