We join with you in prayer for you, your husband, and your two sons, and we thank God for the hunger you have to draw closer to Him and to live rightly before Him and not according to the pattern of this world. It is a beautiful and godly desire you have expressed, and we count it a privilege to stand with you as fellow believers.

We hear your heart to focus on the Lord and not on the things of this world, and Scripture calls us to this very thing. Romans 12:2 says, Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. And 1 John 2:15-17 says, Do not love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father's love is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not the Father's, but is the world's. We pray that God will give your whole household a renewed mind and a holy distaste for the passing pleasures of this world and a growing love for Christ and His Word.

We also lift up your two sons before the Lord, as you have asked, concerning fornication, drinking, partying, smoking weed, and being around the wrong people. We must speak plainly and lovingly that these things are sin before a holy God and they bring destruction. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:18, Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. And Galatians 5:19-21 warns that sexual immorality, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these, of which we tell you beforehand, even as we also told you before, that those who practice such things will not inherit God's Kingdom. Smoking weed and drunkenness dull the mind God gave us to be sober and self-controlled, for Ephesians 5:18 says, Do not be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit. We also know that 1 Corinthians 15:33 says, Do not be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals. We pray that the Lord will convict your sons of sin, open their eyes to see the emptiness of that path, and draw them to repentance and to salvation in Christ, and that He will separate them from influences that lead them astray and surround them with godly fellowship instead.

We hear your plea to not be discouraged and to keep praying, and to have the Holy Spirit help you pray the right way. Be encouraged, for Romans 8:26 says, In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we do not know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. You do not need perfect words, only a sincere heart, and the Spirit Himself intercedes for you. James 5:16 reminds us, The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. So we encourage you to continue steadfastly, praying without ceasing as 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says, trusting that God hears.

We noticed your request speaks of the Lord and the Holy Spirit, but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by placing our faith in Jesus Christ, His death on the cross for our sins and His resurrection, that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. We encourage you and your family to rest fully in Him as Lord and Savior.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You for this wife and mother who loves her family and desires to see them walk with You. We ask that You draw her, her husband, and her two sons closer to Yourself. Renew their minds by Your Word, set their affections on things above, and help them to live holy lives that are not conformed to this world but transformed by Your grace. Give this mother and father strength and unity in their marriage to lead their home in righteousness.

Lord, we lift up these two sons to You. Have mercy on them and save them from their sins. Convict them of fornication, drunkenness, partying, and drug use, and grant them repentance that leads to life. Deliver them from the desire for these things and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Remove them from evil companions and plant them among believers who will encourage them toward purity and sobriety. Let them know that their bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and that You call them to flee immorality and walk in self-control.

Holy Spirit, help this dear sister to pray. When she feels weak or discouraged or does not know what to say, intercede for her and give her peace and boldness to keep seeking You. Let her know her prayers are heard through Jesus Christ our Lord. Build her faith as she waits on Your answers. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We were so encouraged to read your heart for your family, . Wanting you, your husband , and your sons and to walk closer with the Lord and not be pulled by the world is a beautiful desire, and asking other believers to stand with you is a faithful step.

We hear how much you carry for your sons and how discouraging it can feel when you wonder if you are praying the right way. Please be at peace there. Drawing closer to the Lord is a lifelong walk with highs and lows, not something that happens all at once, and it does not depend on perfect words. The Holy Spirit is near to help you as you pray, even when your prayers feel simple or unfinished. He knows what is on your heart.

A small, steady rhythm often helps more than trying to do a lot at once. If you can, choose a brief time most days to open the Word together even for a few verses, and pray plainly for one another by name. Keep gathering for worship when you can, and stay connected to one or two trusted believers who will keep praying with you so you are not carrying this alone.

Father, we lift ###, ###, ### and ### to You in Jesus' name. Draw each of them closer to Yourself and help them want what You want. Give ### courage and rest as she keeps praying, and help her trust Your Spirit to guide her words. Have mercy on her sons and lead them toward You, and give this family focus on You day by day. Amen.

We join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace and give thanks that the Lord has put within you this holy desire to draw closer to Himself and to live not after the world but after Christ.

Your prayer is according to the mind of God, for He would have you and your husband and your sons find your life and your joy in fellowship with Jesus. Our great inexhaustible well is the Lord Jesus Christ, and every form of fellowship with Him, wrought in us by the Spirit, is a well of salvation out of which we joyfully draw the living water. As you seek Him together in His word, in prayer, and in the quiet turning of the heart toward Him, He will cause you to drink at that well and to know a deliverance wrought out by the Lord Jesus Christ far richer than any outward deliverance Israel ever knew.

We pray with you for your two sons. We do not ask the Lord to bless fornication, drinking, partying, smoking weed, or the company of those who lead them astray, for these bring misery wherever sin is found and they stand against the good and holy way the Lord has ordained. Sex is a gift belonging within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and sobriety and purity are the path of life. What we ask is that the Lord will save them from their sins and turn them aside from these snares. Salvation is of the Lord. The Lord hath done it. There is not a little left for the sinner to work out for himself, but Christ has borne the penalty and made a full ransom. We pray that your sons may look unto Him and be saved, for the Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. To believe on Him is to trust Him, to leave the whole matter of present and eternal salvation with Him in unquestioning confidence.

Take comfort in the picture of prodigal love. When the prodigal was yet a great way off, the father saw him and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him in much love. That much kissing means much forgiveness and overflowing comfort. Before the prodigal could finish his confession, his father had forgiven him and put his return beyond all doubt, and all Heaven shared in his joy. So the Lord joys over every returning sinner, and He is able to give such a clear deliverance that the soul knows it is eternally saved. Pray that your sons may know this, that they may be overwhelmed not by the pleasures of sin for a season, but by the goodness of a Father who runs to meet the returning.

Do not be discouraged because you fear you do not pray aright. The Spirit Himself helpeth our infirmities and teaches us to pray. Continue at the brook Jabbok as Jacob did, and tell it for the comfort of others when the Lord answers. Go on speaking to the Lord, for His ear is not shut and His arm is not shortened that it cannot save. He who brought forth Israel with silver and gold, and who did not share the honor of their deliverance, will in His own time make His deliverance effectual for those for whom you intercede.

We pray now together, that you and your husband may be kept in peace within your borders, kept from the spirit of the world, with eyes and hearts heavenward, finding deliverance in every trial as you look unto Christ. And we pray that your sons may be delivered from the pit, that God having found a ransom may open their eyes to see that salvation is all of grace, that they may repent and be turned from fornication and drunkenness and every evil way, and may be brought into the fellowship of the saints, to the praise of Him who hath accomplished the salvation of His people.

May the Lord keep you much in prayer, not weary in well doing, and may He grant you to see His salvation in your house, for His mercy endures and His power to save is still mighty.
