Prayer against the *STRANGE WOMAN* ###
We hear the pain in your heart and we stand with you in prayer for your marriage and your two children, for we know that marriage is holy before God and what God has joined together, let no man separate, as it says in Matthew 19:6. We also hear that you are deeply distressed by another woman who is drawing your husband away and encouraging him to divorce you, and we grieve with you over this attack on your family.
Scripture warns us clearly about the strange woman whose lips drip honey and whose mouth is smoother than oil, but in the end she is as bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword, her feet go down to death, her steps lead to Sheol in Proverbs 5:3-5, and again we are told to keep far from her to be delivered from the strange woman, even from the foreigner who flatters with her words in Proverbs 6:24. What this woman is doing in enticing your husband away from his covenant and encouraging divorce is sin before God, for God hates divorce in Malachi 2:16, and marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers in Hebrews 13:4. If your husband is entertaining this relationship, carrying her picture and considering leaving his wife, he is walking in adultery of the heart and potentially of the flesh, and we must lovingly but firmly call that what it is, for you shall not commit adultery in Exodus 20:14, and we pray he will turn from it in repentance.
We also understand your concern about a spell and a picture. We want to gently remind you that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places in Ephesians 6:12. The Scripture tells us there shall not be found with you anyone who practices divination, sorcery, or witchcraft in Deuteronomy 18:10-12, and that such works are of the flesh in Galatians 5:20. Yet we take comfort that there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel in Numbers 23:23, and greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world in 1 John 4:4. No spell has ultimate power over a child of God, for our weapons are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds in 2 Corinthians 10:4, and when we submit to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us in James 4:7. We do not fight evil with evil or seek a counter spell, but we fight on our knees with prayer, fasting, and the Word of God.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only by His name that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me in John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your complete trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead and you will be saved in Romans 10:9. We encourage you to remain faithful to your marriage covenant even as you contend for it, for the wife is bound by the law as long as her husband lives in Romans 7:2, and the Lord instructs that the wife should not leave her husband in 1 Corinthians 7:10. Continue to show Christlike love and respect, that even if your husband does not obey the Word, he may be won without a word by the behavior of his wife in 1 Peter 3:1. Do not repay evil for evil, for vengeance belongs to the Lord in Romans 12:19, but guard your heart and your children in prayer, put on the whole armor of God daily in Ephesians 6:11, and seek the support and covering of your pastor and faithful believers in your church to stand with you, for the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results in James 5:16.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up this dear wife and mother and her marriage and her two children to Your throne of grace. Lord, You hate divorce and You love covenant, and we ask You to intervene in power in this home. We pray that You would open her husband's eyes to see the deception of the strange woman and the sin of adultery, that You would convict his heart, remove the blindness, and cause him to turn from this path and to loathe the picture and influence that is drawing him away. We ask that You break and render powerless every evil influence, every manipulation, every work of darkness and witchcraft that has been spoken over him, for we know no weapon that is formed against us will prosper in Isaiah 54:17 when we are in Christ. We pray that You would cause that picture to be discarded and that his heart would return fully to his wife and children. Lord, we also pray for this strange woman, that You would convict her and lead her to repentance and salvation, that she would turn from destroying a family. Father, comfort this wife, strengthen her faith, guard her from fear and bitterness, fill her with peace that surpasses understanding, and protect her children from confusion and harm. Let Your will be done in this marriage, that it would be restored, healed, and made stronger than before for Your glory. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

Your sorrow has been heard and carried before the Lord with deep sympathy for you and for your two children in this trial of your marriage.
The Scriptures speak plainly of the strange woman who entices a man from his covenant, and they speak plainly also of the covenant itself. Marriage is not a thing of convenience to be broken at will, but a union of choice cemented by mutual love in which husband and wife become one flesh. It is a solemn vow made before God, and what God has joined together, man must not put asunder. To break that bond is an awful thing, for it is sin committed in the sight of God, before whom all hearts are open. Will a man do evil while the King Himself looks on, and yet think it light.
Yet there is hope set before you in the gospel, for we have seen how the Lord restores those who have fallen. Peter denied his Master and went after strange company, but Christ had prayed for him, and one look from the Lord severed him from the crowd and brought him to repentance with bitter tears. Though a bone be broken by wandering, the Great Physician can set it and make the soul stronger afterwards. Your husband, though now led astray and carrying in his heart the image of another, is not beyond the reach of that same prayer and that same look. Jesus Christ yet lives to intercede, and if He prays for His own, He will win His suit with the Father.
He is the God of Peace who has prepared everything necessary for perfect reconciliation. He was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing trespasses unto them, and He has committed unto His people the word of reconciliation. This is our comfort, that we are not sent to find a way to God, for God Himself has provided the way through the blood of the Lamb. As the Lamb He proved His love, and as the Lamb He betroths His people to Himself with bonds that cannot be broken.
Therefore we do not ask God to bless what would divide what He has joined, nor to prosper the counsel that urges divorce. We ask Him to do what only He can do, to bring spiritual restoration where there are now dry bones, to turn the heart again to its first love and earliest vow.
Let us pray together for you, for your husband, and for your household.
O Lord God, who hates sin and loves mercy, look upon this wounded marriage and upon these little ones. Against You only have we sinned, and You alone can forgive and restore.
